We have not been to WDW since last year, before they went to the new Extra Magic Hour program with the wrist bands.

Now, I understand that certain parks are open one hour before and 3 hours later for WDW resort guests.

I just wanted to know about the wristbands.
Do you get them for just the evening hours, like the old E-ride nights? Do you need them for the morning too? And you can only get them 2 hours before the beginning of the EMH, at designed spots in the park, right?

Thanks for your help!!! My cousin is taking his 11 year old DD to Disney World for the first time next week, and called me for tips, and I wanted to tell him about EMH!!!

Don't need them for the mornings........they just check your room key. You DO need them for the evenings...........some folks were getting them very early and wearing them all day and some were waiting til the last minute to get them. There are various designated places to get the wrist bands in each park.

Thanks, Linda!!!

I read, on this site, I think, that the EMH wristbands are distributed "no earlier than 2 hours before the park closes to the general public" . . . so it's interesting that you CAN get them earlier.

We were there over Easter and noticed the early wristbands all over the place in MK........don't know if that's because they were WAY more crowded. I honestly didn't notice if they did it at the other parks.
