Quick question about calling vs looking on MDE app

Just added someone (I know, last minute, really) to a December trip. My traveling party went from 3 to 4. I called,and was able to add #4 to all dining reservations, except the MK fireworks dessert party. They said to keep checking, in case of a cancellation. My question is, does MDE show real time availability, or is it better to call daily and check? I tried for a party of 1 on the app, and it shows no availability, Do the onsite call centers show different availability?

Online is real-time availability. Note: they actually made a bit of an exception for your; as of this past month, CMs are no longer supposed to make dining reservations for restaurants over the phone except for parties over 8.

Yeah, but one of our ressies (candlelight dinner) had to be pre-paid, so while they were in system they just updated all that they could.
