Guys

I know that WDW will be busy that's taken as gospel. But for those have you that have been before, when it is busy - even really busy - has it ever been so much that it has ever spoilt your enjoyment.

I don't mind queues but not if they upset me!!

March (Spring Break) hated it soooo much had to go back in September.
It was just sooooo packed everywhere. ok if you are used to going during packed times but i am used to going in the quiet times and it totally destroyed my holiday.
Just my opinion.:)

I was there for thanksgiving day a couple of years ago - it was really packed, we just fast passed one or two rides and spent the rest of the time just wandering around, and shopping, with WDW because so many people only go for a few days theres always going to be a quieter time ahead where you can get to ride those 'must dos' again and again.

A busy time in WDW is better than a quiet one at home!

Just be prepared to take it slowly around the parks and if possible take breaks. If you have a villa or are staying onsite you could always go back for a swim or a shower and an afternoon nap. We have been in July and December (very busy) but we took it slowly, made use of EMH and the pool. Whenever you have the chance to go i would go for it.

It's the combination of crowds and heat that is worst for us, getting to the parks early is essential.
March 2005 was worst we have seen but the weather was cooler so didn't impact us quite as much, I am sure when we go next Easter it will be busy too.

We were there in Feb for Presidents Day and it was heaving. We went to Magic Kingdom which isn't the most sensible park to go to on one of the busiest days of the year! By mid-afternoon it was just so busy there was no point in even trying to get on to anything (It's A Small World was even over an hour wait),so we just spent a couple of hours in the playgrounds. The children (6 and 4) were happy to do this and it gave us a chance to sit down as well.

We were these for Christmas 2003 and although we didn't try to get in a park on Christmas day we did go the MK on Boxing Day and we managed two rides the whole time we were there and walkways were so busy that they were shoulder to shoulder all over the park. We gave up and left the park.

We've been at very busy times in the past and I can honestly say it hasn't ruined anything. My advice would be to take it slowly, accept you're going to return and don't try and do everything on this trip. Actually, I've just had a look at the Unofficial Guide and after Easter doesn't look too bad as a time to go. Have fun! :thumbsup2

I must say I am a bit worried as going july /august this year and always gone september and november but as someone said better to be busy here:banana: :dance3: :yay:

We went at Christmas last year, compared to October when we usually go, it was very busy especially the second week. We found that if you got to the park for opening, had a good idea of what your 'must do's' are and make good use of Fast Pass, then it was doable. The crowds never ruined our enjoyment because when it gets too crowded we bale out and go do something else, there's plenty of other things to do.

I was worried about going in July a couple of years ago but decided to hit the parks early and it was fantastic. Even in peak season if you get to the parks early, rides are walk ons or minimal waits. We are forced to go at this time with the kids' holidays.

Busiest time is Xmas, we have been there 4 times now at Xmas. They close the gates somedays it so busy,
I think if it was my first visit and wasn't sure if I was going back again the lines would bother me. I have a 20 min max wait rule. Lines at Xmas are 120mins+ for popular rides. But having done 16 trips and done every ride numerous times we are fine whatever the crowds are now, just get fastpasses and enjoy the atmosphere. Lucky having AP's we can go in until mid afternoon then go back to hotel for a swim or sleep then back to another park in evening until late, don't feel we have to be in there all day to get our value from a ticket.
Like Carol says "A busy time in WDW is better than a quiet one at home!"

Our last few days coincided with 1000's of Spring Breakers hitting WDW. Queues for ToT went from 10 minutes in our first week to 90 in the last day or two. Like you we always go off peak, taking the kids out of school, so it took us by surprise. Thankfully we had done everything we wanted to do, so it wasn't a problem. But it would have spoiled our holiday if the whole trip had been that busy.

To the OP, I'm sure you know already, but the best thing to do is: "GET TO THE PARKS EARLY!!"
