Quick question about booking with placeholder...

Like a lot of people, I'm looking to book one of the 2020 cruises this week but I have a question I'm hoping somebody can help me out with.

On our cruise in April, my husband paid for the onboard discount placeholder for our cabin. Him, Me and our two kids. I'd like to book a cruise for just me and my oldest son using the placeholder credit. How do I go about doing this since I wasn't the person who paid for it but I was in the cabin it was purchased for (which I believe means I am able to use it).

I'd preferably like to book online. Is this possible?

With an OBB you have to call to get the discount.
Not sure on the rules since he booked it and isn't sailing with you.

As long as one of the people on the original onboard booking remains on the reservation, I believe they can change it. BUT that person must have been on the original cruise when the booking was made. (Does that make sense?).

Oh darn, I was hoping to avoid making a call. Oh well!

Both people going on the new cruise were on the cruise (and in the same cabin) as the person who paid for the OBB. Hopefully just me calling will be enough since he will be busy at work.
