Does anyone know the difference between the normal 2 bed cabin and a premium 2 bed? Can't seem to find this info on the DLP site.

Thanks! :)

Hi

I believe the premium have been refurbed and rejigged - think they now have 2 bathrooms (showerooms) etc. If you have a look on the Hotel stickies at the top of this area you will see DCR info - I'm sure there is some stuff on there about it.

Thanks for your answer Patsy - I don't know why I didn't see PoppyAnna's review on the Hotel FAQ sticky before, doh!

If anyone has stayed in one who can advise whether it's worth the extra 100 quid that it costs in June, would be very grateful. :)

The official website is rubbish at providing useful info....

No problem.

I believe they are more spacious as well. I just picked up a DLRP brochure today and it says:
2 Bedroom:
Houses up to 6 people with 2 bedrooms, equipped with one double bed, set of bunk beds, sofa bed, Disney & International TV, BBQ and picnic table.
Comes with equipped kitchen, ready made beds, towels on arrival and housekeeping service free on request.
Private parking next to your cabin.

Premium 2 bed
Need more room? Try an air conditioned cabin equipped with a double bed and 4 single beds, 2 shower rooms, Disney & Internat TV.
Outside terrace with table & BBQ

Premium Plus 2 bed
Ideally situated near all the facilities.
Free internet access, tea/coffee welcome kit, coffee machine, complimentary bottle of water and free cleaning kit

Hope that helps.

PS - it appears the premium have air con but perhaps the standard don't but I can't confirm that - doesn't mention air con in the standard features at all.

Hi,

The air con in the Premium is definitely a plus if the weather is very hot :thumbsup2

However, air con aside, we much prefer the Standard 2 bed.

They've crammed more facilities into the Premium (e.g., a 2nd shower & a full size fridge). However, this leaves it feeling very cramped, e.g., there is hardly any walking space around the double bed, and the shower cubicles are tiny, with no ventalation. Unless you leave your ceiling to floor curtains wide open in the lounge, they also feel very dark and pokey.

Unlike the Standard, which has 2 bedrooms + a sofa bed in the living room (my kids love to lie on this in the evening and play cards/watch tele), the Premium doesn't have a proper sofa/chairs in the lounge. You simply have the wooden dining table chairs and a narrow bench seat along a wall (much like you'd have in a pub).

The Standards may look a little tired in comparison to the new ones, but they have much more character, and more of a log cabin feel :goodvibes

We were offered a Premium upgrade during our Christmas break, and turned it down much to their surprise.

Others may disagree though!
