So we leave tomorrow for the world and my mom called the poly today to ask a question. While she was on the phone the CM told her that we were going to be in room 11xx dont remember the rest. Does this mean we will be on the first floor? Is this a good thing or will it be really loud from other guest walking around?

Whatever the Cast Member told you're mom sounds wrong because you can not call a WDW Resort before you check in and ask where you're room would be. They don't even tell you what you're room # would be if you check in and they say the room is not ready.

I've had a first floor room at the POLY twice and have never had an issue with noise from other guests. :thumbsup2 This includes when I stayed in a first floor room across from the Volcano pool.

I like first floor rooms because we can sit out on our patio and the girls can play or what ever. We have had a first floor fiji room many times and loved it. The noise level really all depends on which longhouse its in.
