Quick Park Ticket ? - Under 3 free?

Hi there!

I am helping plan a trip for my brother and his family to DL in October/November of this year. Their youngest daughter will be 2.9 when she goes - from what I have read, her entrance is free, even to hard ticket events. Is this true? I would hate to give bad information!

Yes! I think I read on here though that the trick or treat bags are only given out to ticketed guests at the party though.

wait you better check on that....when I took my grandson 2 years ago he wasnt 3 yet and I had to buy his Halloween party tix...i didnt have to buy him a regular parkhopper tix...but i did have to buy the Halloween party one

Two and under are free For the Halloween party
Some nights they have discounts for annual pass holders above and beyond the discount for prepurchase

Under 3 is FREE. Free to enter the park, free to enter hard-ticketed events. We've been to MHP twice now and our youngest has been free each time because he wasn't yet 3 yrs old.

My then 19 month old was free to get into the Halloween party last year, and I cannot remember if he got a bag or not. If for some reason they don't give bags to under 3, all the adults get a bag anyway and I am sure someone in the party wouldn't mind sharing with the littlest one! We had MORE candy than any family could ever need!

no idea if it's the same at DL, but at WDW's MNSSHP my 11 month old got her own bag....

Not only were our 2 and unders free, but they got more than one bag. . . we all did. They were handing them out all over the place or something, because we each had at least 3! They give out A LOT of candy! We brought an extra back pack just to hold it all. We go just for the candy! We are APers, so the rides are no big deal, plus two babies. . . I have a feeling this year we will need to get on more rides, as kiddos are almost 3!

I took my DD3 last year, when she was still 2 (December B-day). So she was almost the same age as your niece. They didn't ask me for a ticket, and she got a trick or treat bag. You can also bring your own treat bag, that's very popular. Or you can even buy a Mickey-shaped pumpkin bucket at the park! So I think your niece should have no problem.

Children 3 and under are FREE, there will no charge for children 3 and under. For everything.

There seems to be some conflicting information in this thread. Some are saying 3 and under is free while others are saying 2 and under.

It is actually 2 and under are free. You can be 2 years and 364 days old and be free. But as of the third birthday you have to pay. This is for park admission, character buffets and special events.

A sort of exception would be if your child turns 3 during your visit. My ds turned 3 on our 3rd day. I spent a lot of time confirming with Disney Travel to make sure we didn't have to by a ticket for the last 4 days in the park.

You are correct, I'm sorry for my pp saying 3 and under are free, I meant to say Children under 3 are free.

My first post however is in response to the OP saying the child in question is 2.9 and my response was that yes, that child would be free.
