Vacations go way too fast !

Tell us about the cruise...
The cruise was terrific! The food was excellent in the dining rooms and everywhere else. Castaway Cay was awesome and the weather was an 8 out of 10. In Nassau we made a stop at Atlantis to gamble and take in some sights and shopping. What a great place to visit for 4 or 5 hours.

Something I noticed on this cruise is the push by DCL Cast Members to sell merchandise and drinks. We were asked on a couple nights in our dining room if our kids wanted to purchase light up glasses at $7.95 each. Also, they are having Cast Member pin trading events in the lobby atrium where they sell pins next to the trading event. Lots of pins were being sold so children could trade. The Captain Jack meet and greet was in the D Lounge were Cast Members were walking around asking parents and children if they wanted drinks. In the past the Captain Jack meet and greet were in areas where it wasn't condusive to sell drinks. So, there seems to be more of a push to sell merchandise and drinks to guests.

Our cruise had 3875 guests aboard (near capacity), but it didn't feel overly crowded except, at times, on deck 11 near the pools. Also, The Dream's version of Believe in the Walt Disney Theater is the best Disney theater show I've ever seen both parks and DCL. That cast is excellent. The actor who plays the Genie in the show is terrific!

That was about it. A great cruise. DCL does a wonderful job.

Welcome home Aaron! Glad you had a great trip. A couple questions if you don't mind....... :)

The Princess pics in Epcot? Did you know they were going to be there or did you just happen upon three Princesses? My niece really wants to meet Rapunzel so I'm hoping this is a set meet and greet spot?

When you say pushing drinks on the Dream...you mean alcoholic drinks right?
Just curious. I don't really drink, just a very occasional glass of wine and I think it will drive me nuts if they are constantly bugging me to buy a drink.

So glad to hear the food on the Dream was good! Have the improved it recently? I have read some pretty disappointing reviews of Dream food.

Atlantis.....did you do an excursion or just go on your own? We are debating about going to Atlantis, can't decide about the excursion.

Glad the cruise was great-
pushing drinks and glasses - interesting !

This seems to be worse on the shorter cruises. I noticed it was worse on the double dips cruises & our 3 night. In Cabanas embarkation lunch, we were offered a drink or to get a water or beer package SEVEN times during our lunch. On the family beach, offered drinks a lot & EARLY (I'm sorry - I cannot drink a Bahama Mama at 10am).

On our 7-night cruises on the Magic & Fantasy, there was waaaaayyyyy less solicitation.

Very noticeable difference.
