quick Iphone sat nav question..

Hi!
I fly tomorrow!
Couple of Iphone questions.. I know im to turn data roaming off, what about 3g shall i turn this off too? And what about 'Cellular data'?
I have downloaded COPILOT USA sat nav for it, i take it this just runs of gps and i dont need 3g or anything on?? T.I.A!

Someone may correct me but to my knowledge I think just turning Data Roaming off is enough.

It's recommended that you also turn off your email if you have it to auto check at intervals and any apps you have that use Push features. There have been some naughty stories of data roaming turning itself back on due to these features as there is something a little buggy in the OS.

And correct, your sat nav uses the gps and won't need any data roaming to work as long as it's not using any traffic update features (I'm not familiar with Copilot and whether it has that feature or not).

If you want to be truly safe you can always turn your phone to Airplane Mode (note that you can then turn wifi back on even in Airplane mode if you wanted to take advantage of free wifi signals when you're out and about) however obviously you'd not be able to receive any calls either.
