Looong story short...We are taking DS(16)'s BFF with us this trip. It was a late add on and we can't get him on the same return flight we are already booked on. We are able to book him on a flight within 1/2 hour of us (w/him leaving first to insure he's onboard) and his parents have given permission for him to wait in the baggage area of our home airport until we arrive.
Question is with MCO security being so stringent, will they let me, a non-parent, put him on the plane? He is old enough that UM status is not needed and the info on TSA and other sites is unclear.
I would hate to be IN the airport on the way home and have them give me a hassle about him boarding.
My DS has flown UM a million times so I know the drill on that, but like I said, we don't have to pay for UM because BFF is 16.
Can a teenager with a ticket just go through security without any verification from an adult??
