who owns the reservation? AAA, or WDW? (NOT a package, just a room)...so if I want to call and add info or a request to the reservation, who do I contact? Is the confirmation # a WDW Confirmation #?? CRO has no AAA-rate rooms left for my dates, but AAA website does.

HELP!

I'm pretty sure if you book THROUGH AAA, regardless if it's room only or a package, that they own the reservation. You would have to go thru them to make any changes. The transaction actually goes thru a AAA reservation center, not thru CRO so your conf. # would be tied to AAA and CRO can't access that. That's the way it used to be anyway...there may have been changes since I last booked thru them.

Good luck!! With it, sometimes the web site is not updated and looks like there are rooms but when you call or try to book on line you can find out later that the web site was wrong and no rooms left for that price.:(
Call the hotel and ask for the AAA rate to see if they have any more AAA rooms for the dates you would like.

You mean call the hotel directly? Wouldn't that be CRO that I would call? I just called CRO, and they have no availability at all, for ANY moderates, for my dates, at ANY price. AAA website still has availability at a few moderates.

If you called the resort and they say they have none left for AAA rate then you can call you local AAA and ask or just try and do it online. But like I said the web may be wrong. But try anyway, doesn't hurt to try. Good luck!

I learned the hard way that the AAA website doesn't get updated. I got my hopes up (and the entire rest of the family that's travelling with us) when I thought they had availability at BCV & BWV for the first week in February. It doesn't tell you that the rooms are actually *not* available until after you go through the entire reservation process & enter your credit card number.

I called AAA about this, and they confirmed that the rooms indeed were not available. Luckily, we were still able to book a villa at SS, but I hate that we all got excited for nothing. We booked our room 2 weeks ago, and the AAA site is still showing availability for rooms that are not really available that week. :confused3

Good luck - I hope you can get the ressie you want!

Hi! Could someone tell me how you found Disney resort rates through the AAA site? I can't seem to find them.

Thanks

On the AAA website, click on 'Travel' then 'Hotels'. For destination, I type in Lake Buena Vista, FL, which pulls up all the Disney hotels as well as those close by.

HTH!

The exact same thing happened to me. You think you are all set, and then when you enter your credit card it says there are now no rooms! If you make a AAA reservation, they own it. You call them to make requests and changes. You can't look at it on the Disney website. I've used AAA and they have given great service. I just call or email my agent and she books everything.

I booked through AAA, and we were given our reservation number on our confirmation paper from AAA.

AAA would own the res, room only or package.

You would not be calling the resort direct, but Disney, to book.

IF there is room availability, a guest could even walk in and book a room. But that is a big "IF".

OP here. We cancelled our flight. PP are correct...the rooms come up as available till you actually enter your cc#. THEN, it comes back as no longer available. I tried ad tried, even tried to book rack rate on WDW site. Seems that NO rooms are available this Fri, Sat, Sun for under $250/night.

Ah well. Would have been nice since our 10th anniversary is this weekend.

THanks for all the help, everyone!

Too bad! Enjoy your anniversary! Hope you can get to WDW another time soon. BTW, I tried and succeeded in getting a room for our 20th anniversary 2 years ago. It was a last minute trip, during a VERY busy weekend (Vet's day...Super Soap) and I just kept calling. We ended up at ASMu and loved it. Originally we only had a suite at WL that we could not afford, but we kept it, and I kept calling CRO every day, even many times a day to get different CM's who did everything to look for me. Finally a room opened up and we grabbed it. But if you've already cancelled your flight, so be it. Happy Anniversary!
