To make a long story short, we arrive at DL on 12-2 until 12-7. Also going were good friends who have us booked at their timeshare the new worldmark resort. Well, they may not be able to go due to medical issues and I may need to find another place to stay.
this is me, DBF, DD8 and D neice 12. My preference would be somewhere with a suite so we can be apart from the kids. any advice would be great.

I think you're going to have a tough time finding a suite, with a separate bedroom for the kids, nearby. Most places are booked. I was looking around at the kids' suites hotels suggested on this site: http://www.accommodationsneardisney.com/Disneyland/default.asp

Everthing looks booked, at least on the weekend.

However, if you can stay farther away and catch transportation, I noticed Resident Inn Garden Grove has a 2 bedroom suite for $159 a night. Pretty good.

Why can't your friends put the ressie in your name just in case? They should be able to do this if it is a standard time share. I know that we can "gift" our points to friends/family if we chose to.

If distance is not an issue, try Anaheim Marriott Suites. I've never been there (anyone has experience with this hotel?) so I don't know how what it's like, but I am taking advantage of the low rate I received. I read the reviews and it seemed like a decent place. And a big plus....a Starbucks in the lobby!

I got a 2 room suite for only $83.00/night. I reserved on Marriott's website, then found a cheaper rate on Expedia so Marriott matched the price and gave an additional 25%!
