Anyone willing to give a quick summary of HHN if we decide to stay tonight? Came with our AP'a and doesn't look like other days work for us. Is it worth doing if we're already here but total wimps? Any not as scary parts? What time does it start? Thanks!

Yeah - I've been wondering the same thing as well.

I'm going really just to observe things - I'm not really into the whole jump out at your thing, but I want to check it out and take pictures etc....

Would be good to know what to expect.

be in the parks before the studios close at 5:00.
go to one of the holding areas (sNs) and wait to be released early.

look at the park map once you have your hhn ticket scanned.
depending on which holding area you are at, start the houses near that section.

the houses at the front of the park, dusk to dawn, twd, avp will open early.
only house in the park that has a late opening, or has in the past few weeks, will be dracula.

twd is better once it is dark as the finale scene in that house uses strobe lights.
the effect is much better at dark.

marcie, this is nothing like frightfest.
hhn is awesome.

you end up going thru the houses conga style and won't have that much time to check it all out in some of the houses.
some will get a SA in their face, others won't.
depends on the timing and where you are in the house.

might as well stay tonight, buy the hhn ticket and enjoy the evening.
it will stay open until 2:00

read some of the other threads about hhn so you will have a better idea of what to expect.
some have posted how their evening for it went.

Hi guys, I'm also planning to go to HHN for the first time tonight. We are premium AP holders so we will need to exchange our voucher for a ticket. I believe we have to go to a ticket window to do this.. Do we then get wristbands inside for the people staying for HHN or how does it work? Is there a special entrance for pass holders? I've had a lot of health issues so not been able to keep up with the boards like I used to... Any info or suggestions are greatly appreciated... Btw, not sure if we will make it to the park before 5pm close - my husband works for Disney and he should be getting off and heading home soon... Thanks for any help you can give! :)

show your AP at guest services to receive the hhn for tonight.

if you are not inside the studios by 4:57, you will end up waiting in the outside line by the gates to enter the studios for hhn.
if you enter the park earlier than 5, your hhn ticket will be scanned at the holding area and be given a colored wristband.
once hhn begins, rip off the wristband.
it's only given to you to show you have had your hhn tix scanned.

only the onsite hotel guests have a special entrance gate to enter at 6:00.
no special entry gates for ap holders.

Thanks Mac! Okay we swapped our vouchers for tickets but are waiting for 4 to use our express passes (premier) to hit a few rides we haven't yet (Simpsons, MIB) first. Then we got wristbands to stay in Diagon Alley until 6. Should we not do that and get in a holding area instead? We'll probably just do fright zones unless you really really think we should try a house. Any suggestions on which would be the best one to try if so?

i think this is the UCF night so it might get some crowds.
park open to 2 so i say try a house or two.

if you see crowds, leave DA and do hhn.
you have all year to hit the parry hotter stuff since you bought the AP's.
potter isn't going anywhere and this might be the only evening you will be at the parks for hhn.
you got the free tickets so go for it.

giggles and gore is about clowns and not scary, well, not to me as clowns don't effect me.

doll house is decent.
you have to imagine that the dolls are playing with you and you aren't playing with the dolls.
a few scares depending on how the line is hitting.
SA will come out to boo at you and then skip a number of guests in that congo line going thru the house.

dracula is based on the current movie so if you have seen that, it will make sense.

try a couple of houses marcie, be brave and you can always scream your head off if you get startled.
you raised 3 boys, how can anything beyond that scare you??

purge didn't do it for me.
loud and nothing scary for what i was expecting.
masquarade is kewl.
face off is good.

check your guide map for all the scare zones.

Already did 3 houses Mac - AVP, Roanoke, Dollhouse and in line for Halloween. Walking dead had a huge line right away and we don't watch the show so skipped it. Dracula wasn't open until 630 when we were there earlier. Planning the Bill & Ted show next then doing all the scare zones since I think the house lines are getting too long. Having fun - nothing so far has been "scary" scary, just "fun" scary! Thanks!

i guess you are surviving your first night at hhn
you staying until the 2:00 closing?

Ha, no, we barely made it much past 9pm since we'd been there since 7am! However, we did make it to the 4 houses, saw the Bill & Ted show, then went through all the fright zones and had some dinner. By the time we left, lines for most of the houses were between 90 and 150 minutes (or so the signs stated) and we weren't willing to invest that. The number of people still coming in (despite those wait times already!) as we left was incredible - probably 50 people in line for each entrance turnstile. We were pretty sure that none of those folks would get through as much as we had already done at that point! But we had a good time and I discovered I'm not as much of a wimp as I though. Although to be honest, I really think the scare zones at Cedar Point Halloweekends were WAY more impressively done & themed. never got the nerve to try a house there so can't compare those but we had a blast last year with the scare zones there and I was expecting this to be even more scary!

you called it a night at 9 pm????

i'm glad you and royce went and had fun.

i was thinking it was ucf night and that it would bring in crowds.
but, sundays has crowds as it is without that group.

i went to two different sunday nights and had express so was able to cover the houses by starting with SnS.
nights i went were crowded, long lines at some of the houses.
