Quick, Help we are at BCV...a/c help

I can't find the post about how to bypass the a/c unit. can anyone give me the info and I will check back later?

If you don't do the balloon trick, post #25 has instructions on how to bypass the thermostat. There may be more suggestions in the thread, but I didn't read the whole thing.

but that tip doesn't work. there is no "power" button. we have tried pushing all the others.???
oh well.

we didn't want to turn it below 68, just not have it turn off at night
it gets stuffy.

no biggie.

Call the front desk, ask them to send maintenance to room room that you have a problem with a/c... when maintance arrives, ask them to please override the automatic a/c switch... and make sure you ask how long the override is good for (some are good for 24 - 73 hours!!)

I saved these instructions from another post. With apologies to the original poster of this info who deserves the credit for this:

How to bypass the BCV thermostat

TO CHANGE AC THERMOSTAT SETTINGS THE THERMOSTAT HAS TO BE PUT INTO "SERVICE MODE" IT IS SIMPLE TO DO BY PRESSING THE FOLLOWING KEYS ON THE FRONT OF THE THERMOSTAT.

EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING SEQUENCE:

1. PRESS (AND KEEP PRESSED) THE F/C KEY

2. PRESS (AND RELEASE) THE OFF/AUTO KEY

3. PRESS (AND RELEASE) THE DISPLAY KEY.

4. RELEASE THE F/C KEY.

UPON SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THIS SEQUENCE, THE LCD WILL DISPLAY PAR (PARAMETER) AND THE PARAMETER NUMBER.

1. PRESS THE UP ARROW KEY AND SCROLL UNTIL # 6 APPEARS. (NEW MODELS # 24)

2. PRESS THE OFF/AUTO KEY

3. THE CURRENT LOW TEMPERATURE IS DISPLAYED.

4. PRESS THE DOWN ARROW KEY AND SCROLL UNTIL THE DESIRED ROOM
TEMPERATURE APPEARS

5. PRESS THE F/C KEY
