Help me DIS cooking friends! I have some frozen chicken thighs I want to bake in a little bit. Can I put them straight into the oven (no thawing) and just bake them longer? It seems like that will work, but I just wanted to double-check with the experts here.

(I could thaw in the microwave, but it seems like whenever I do that, part of the chicken is warm and part is still frozen, and I get kind of skeeved out thinking about bacteria and things on the warm raw chicken)

If in a ziplock bag, you can put some salt and water in with the chicken...let it sit for about an hour in the sink. Rinse them off really well, though.

I just stick mine in a ziploc bag and then put it in a sink of cold water. Usually thaws in 30 minutes to an hour.

I cook the flash frozen chicken breasts still frozen all the time. There are directions on the bag.

I don't buy thighs but if they are flash frozen it should be the same.

You can always cook chicken when it is frozen, it just takes longer but tastewise it makes no difference.
