Ouch, my brain hurts now

Hi everyone, 
We are getting ready to book using the free dining, but my DS college schedule does not come out until the last week of June (sometimes first week of July) I am pretty sure I am okay with the dates I picked, but I am not 100% sure.
If I were to book today and found I need to cancel would I still be okay as long as it is 45 days or more? The only thing it says on the "Submit" page is 44-6 days $100 per package. Before I hit submit I would like to know for sure.
Oh, BTW we would still go, but would have to go later like Christmas break and skip free dining lol.
