Help - we had originally been planning to go to Sci Fi for a late lunch/early dinner on our arrival day. Now that I have tweaked our itinerary, we will be at MK on that day. What the best sit-down that I should make a PS for that day? I have never eaten anywhere but the Castle as sit-down in MK, which is out because we are doing breakfast later int he week.

Any thoughts?

I would highly recommend the Plaza Restaurant. The club sandwich is to die for, and make sure to save room for dessert!

My DW and I enjoyed Crystal Palace for lunch. It's a buffet and very good. We ate at LTT for dinner, but I believe they also serve lunch there (non-character meal).

I'd vote for LTT personally! :)

Take a peek at the menus for LTT, The Plaza and The Crystal Palace. See which appeals to you the most. The thing I didn't like the most about the Palace was the noise. It seemed to be the noisiest restaurant we ate at anywhere on property. That was for breakfast though..not sure how it would be for lunch/dinner.

2 of our favorites are Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern.

I suggest trying LTT at the first dinner seating - I think around 4 pm. This is a great time to get some great character interaction as the restaurant isn't full yet.

We love Crystal Palace for both breakfast & dinner. Not sure about their lunch - but, I heard it is more sandwich type foods than hot food like at the dinner. We had dinner there for the 1st time in March after eating breakfast there every trip. Well, now CP is a must do for breakfast & dinner on every trip! Hope this helps! :D

The Plaza - the Plaza - the Plaza - or try the Plaza!

I am leaning toward the Plaza for several reasons (not the least of which is arizonecolbys unbiased opinion). My DH hates buffets - will deal with it once or twice, but hate to unnecessarily subject him to it! Also, we have 2 character meals scheduled the next day, so I wasn't really looking for another. Any suggestions on meals? And do I really need a PS for late Sept?

Here's the menu. We had the Club and the burger, and both were really good. We shared a Nickelodeon for dessert. And if you like traditional German Potato Salad, theirs is great!!

If you are going for a late lunch/early dinner, you probably will not need a PS. We went for lunch in July without a PS and had no problem getting seated within 15 minutes.

Wow! Mckryan, I'm drooling! I guess I know where we'll eat lunch at MK!! Thanks! I was thinking we'd just do counter service as we have several PS for "sit-down" restaurants on other days...but I am now dying to try one of those sandwiches!

Laurie :)

The club is huge and worth the stop at the Plaza. There were three of us, and we shared two meals and dessert. It was perfect! I wish now that I had taken pictures of all my meals before we chowed down because I know everyone here would have loved to have seen them. Please post back after your trip to let us know about all your restaurant stops!

Wow - I wouldn't have thought of taking pictures of the food...but it sounds like a fun idea! Think of the cool scrapbook pages one could make with a pic of the entree, a copy of the menu, and a pic of the front of the restaurant!

And yes, I do plan to write a (hopefully wonderful) trip report with restaurant reviews when we get back :)

Is it bad that I'm already thinking of the trip report and we haven't even left yet? LOL

Laurie :)

Another vote for the Plaza ~ Their milk shakes are out of this world!!!!

If the park is busy, you may do well to hop on the resort monorail and visit Concourse Steakhouse (contemporary) or Kona Cafe (polynesian). They are almost always a breeze to get into for lunch without a PS (and easy to make a ps for dinner). They're also a nice break from the parks, easy to get to, and full of Air Conditioning.

You know, there's always the Plaza :)

Gonna have to add a dessert from there to our schedule now:

The Plaza Restaurant Special - Two scoops of butter pecan ice cream with hot fudge and caramel sauce, topped with whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry $4.49

MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!
