I just booked flights for a quick trip over my kid's school winter break from February 20-24, 2018. We usually go for 7 nights and with a large group, this time it's just four nights and only the two of us. I'm debating between Pop and All Star Movies or Sports. Any reasons to choose one over the other at that time?

We stayed once at All Star Music and had a nice time there but figured we'd try out a new value resort this time around.

Thanks! :)

DH stayed at one of the All Stars with DD many years ago and didn't like it, to the point that he won't consider any All Stars resort now when it's the two of us. (But that was quite a few years ago, so I'm sure things have changed.) So we've been staying at Pop (when we're out of DVC points) and have enjoyed it. The Pop rooms are being renovated now, and the new ones have two queen size beds (instead of doubles), one of which is a Murphy bed, as well as a coffeemaker in the room (something we sorely missed on previous trips!). The 90s and 80s sections are complete and open and they're working on the 70s section now so will hopefully have that open too by the time of your trip.

We stayed at Movies two years ago and enjoyed it. My kids were young at the time so the larger then life characters were a huge bonus for us. How old is your child? Would one theme be better then the others?

He'll be newly 6 years old and is pretty happy anywhere. My biggest concern are very large and rowdy groups that may be staying at one place over another, I try to book elsewhere when possible.
