Quick Dinner Options In Downtown Disney

Will be arriving at the Tropicana about 7:00pm on a Saturday night. We want to head to Downtown Disney to buy a couple of Magic Bands and want somewhere quick and easy for a bite to eat. Being a Saturday night I would imagine a lot of places at that time are going to very busy. Not fussed about what the food is, burgers, pizza, Mexican, doesn't matter as long as we are able to get it quickly and without a huge wait in line for a table etc. Was thinking about the lounge/bar area in the Grand Californian or is there somewhere in Downtown Disney that has quick grab and go food or onsite dining. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

DTD gets pretty busy on Saturday nights. Hearthstone Lounge (GCH) does as well. Craftsman Grill in GCH might be good for grab and go. Next to Naples, Napolini offers to go options.

World of Disney is open until after the park closes so maybe pick up dinner before heading to DTD.

We always start off our trip with Craftsman Grill in the Grand Californian. They have pizza, sandwiches, etc. There's an indoor eating area, and also outdoor seating overlooking the pool. You don't need reservations.

Thanks for all the ideas. Do you know if you can do Mobile Order at Craftsman Grill.

Whenever I'm in a similar situation, the bar area (outside) at Ballast Point is my go-to. I've never had an issue getting a seat out there, but I'm usually solo, so not sure if a group/family would have more of an issue. Figured it was worth mentioning, though.

Thanks for that. It makes it a whole lot easier if I have actual places that we can at least go to and see how busy they are rather than just aimlessly wandering not knowing where to start.

I keep meaning to try Earl of Sandwich. Anything you especially like there?
I like the club and the chipotle chicken sandwich. So good! And super affordable for Disneyland pricing. We also love their breakfast sandwiches.

I haven’t tried their cookies yet, but my friend did and said it was one the best she has ever had.

Our last trip in November, we ate there every day. Lol. I’m sad it will be moving locations, as it’s so convenient right now close to the esplanade.

Earl of sandwich! You can order ahead online if you don’t want to wait in line. Decently priced and it’s yummy!
Ooo I love Earl of Sandwich and if we can order ahead of time and just pick it up that would be great. Thanks for letting me know I think that could definitely be a goer.

Yes! I always ordered ahead and it was always ready earlier than the time it said. We never had to wait and it was fantastic. I just walk in the exit and let an employee know I had an online order. We never had an issue finding seating either. And we were there thanksgiving week.

Oh perfect, that will be exactly what we want to do.

Speaking of cookies, has anyone tried the chocolate chip cookies at Harbour Galley or the Wookie Ookie from the milk stand yet?

Those all sound great! I love a good breakfast sandwich. Now I want to try the cookies :)

I liked both. The Harbour cookies were warm when I picked them up. Slightly crisp around the edges but soft in the middle. Was a nice alternative at that time to grabbing a sugary churro.

The Wookie Ookie was good too. The texture is a mix of cookie and brownie and it wasn't as super sweet as I expected, which for me is a good thing. It's a good size, too. I only had two bites and took the rest home to finish.

Sounds delicious! I'm going to grab some of of those Harbor Galley cookies when we visit at the end of the month... And now I'm craving desserts at 9am 🤣
