We are going at the end of aug and will be using the free DDP for the first time (actually first time on DDP at all!) I am in the process of booking my ressies and want to make sure i understand exactly how many meals, snacks etc I am getting.

I am going from Aug 24-29. 6 days and 5 nights. so according to the dining plan brochure each member of my party woudl get:

5 TS meals
5 CS meals and
5 snacks

is that correct? Can the snacks and meals be used in any order? for instance can we do the following:

Aug 24-late arrival use 1 snack and 1 CS
Aug 25 1 snack, 1 TS and 1 CS (breakfast in room)
AUg 26 1 snack, 1 TS and 1 CS (breakfast in room)
Aug 27 1 TS and 1 CS (breakfast in room)
Aug 28 1 snack, 1 TS and 1 CS (breakfast in room)
Aug 29 (day of departure) 1 TS (breakfast) and 1 snack

I assume that as long as I use the appropriate number of meals total that is what matters right?

Thanks

Lara

Yes you can use them in any order you want. Also you might find that you can share two CS credits for all four of you and share two more for lunch. We did that sometimes and it worked out well. Also you can use snack credits for pastries or fruit for breakfast.

Thanks! I understand the whole number of meals per night thing but it still makes it confusing you know?

Yes. We have used the DDP many times and love it! You may be spoiled and never want to go back without it!

You get a total of each of those for your party, TS/CS are split into Adult and Child categories, but snacks are all together.

As for sharing it is entirely possibe to use a CS for breakfast (you get 2 beverages at breakfast) then share the second one for lunch or lighter dinner. Use the snack credits for true snacks or to augment the shared meal (add grits to the breakfast, maybe fries or soup to the lunch).

In theory you could use all your group's credits on one day, you'd have problems on the other days, but it is allowed on the DP.

Have fun choosing your restaurants and making reservations.

So I am new to the site and this is going to be our first time using the DDP.. I was wondering if they would send me all the info about the places we can choose from and what they offer or is that something I have to figure out on my own??

We can help you on these boards. When have a question about a particular place just post it here and many will try to help. I am so grateful to those who helped my family have a magical time in 2007!

As for restaurant info select the word dining near the top of this page and you'll be able see the list of restaurants on the Dining Plan and menus for many too.

My travel agent told us that our credits expire on the last night of our stay. So if we are checking out Saturday morning, we have to use our credits by Friday night. If that is correct you will have to rethink your credit use on your last day.

Hmm..thanks gigi..I will have to call and see if someone at disney knows or maybe someone here knows? I would just like to use one of my TS for a character breakfast before we head out.

That's not quite right. If you check out on Saturday your credits are good until 11:59PM Saturday.

Yes this is correct the TA was wrong. Our day of departure last 2 years we
used our last TS each for a Boma breakfast, then headed over to EPCOT to use the remaineder of the Snack Credits before we headed to the airport. This Sept. our day of departure we are going for breakfast at Crystal Palace.

You travel agent is mistaken. The credits expire at the end of your departure day (Midnight). As FL residents who try to suck in every last minute of WDW, we have checked out in time for rope drop, enjoyed the parks, and then had a TS dinner before going home. :thumbsup2
