I will be making my first DVC ressie soon! Woo-hoo! :woohoo: If I add park tickets and DDP to my ressie, can I pay for this over time? I know when you make a ressie through Disney Travel, you can make payments as long as your package is paid in full 45 days out. Is this the same when you are DVC and booking through Member Services?

Thanks!

you don't need to add tickets to your reservation to get the DDP when you book on pts.

just wait till later to order the tickets through undercovertourist or mapleleaftickets and save a few bucks.

DVC does not have an accounts receivable system, you can't make payments even on member cash reservations.

Some members buy Disney gift cards over time and use those to pay when they arrive.

Thanks All! The Disney Gift Card idea is great!

I did talk to Member Services this morning and they said you could purchase your tickets in advance just to make sure you ask for a 'Will Call' that way they can add your tickets to your room key at check-in.

He also said that the Dining Package had to be paid for at the time of check-in.

Unless you are buying the DVC AP, you won't get much of a price break on your tickets buying them like this. If you purchase them through Undercover Tourist, you can buy them one at a time. They also have free shipping so it won't cost you any extra. This would break up your cost...Kind of like making payments...only bigger payments.:)

Do they allow gift cards to pay for the dining plan at the DVC resorts now? All the posts I have read in the past indicated that the WDW resorts do not accept gift cards to pay for the dining plan, that you can only pay with a credit card or cash for the dining plan.

We will be borrowing someone else's points. Do we have to buy the park tickets along with the dining package or can we just get the dining package and buy our tickets somewhere else.

This is all new to me so I am getting a little confused.:confused3

Yes. We used ours to pay for part of our dining plan last week.

On DVC point stays, the DDP is separate from park tickets, they are not a "package" like when you buy through cash reservations. You can get our park tickets aywhere you wish. If you want your tickets on your room key, after you check-in, take your room key and tickets to the resort conceirge desk in the lobby, and they will transfer your tickets to your room key, as long as the tickets are new and unused and are not annual passes.

Chuck S.... thanks for your help. I am so use to booking everything at once maybe I will have to shop around for some better ticket prices.

Thanks.:thumbsup2
