Quick but good place on arrival night?

We'll be driving to WDW in November and getting in very late afternoon / early evening. We are not doing any parks so park restaurants are not options.

We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. I hoped to just get something quick at the restaurant food court or their sit-down restaurant (Shutters) but have read overwhelmingly negative things about both.

I don't want our first dining at WDW to be horrible. I also don't think any of us are going to want to go very far or through too much hassle to get food on the first night.

Anyone have ideas of options that might be near CBR and easy to get to and from as well as fairly quick to get in and out of? Just want a good, quick and easy meal for some weary travelers.

Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Wolfgang Puck Express in Disney Springs is inexpensive, excellent and has a lot of options. Earl of Sandwich is also at Disney Springs and very good / cheaper. We are staying at CBR as well and heard more positive than negative reviews on the dining options there.

Kona Cafe in teh Poly. And another vote for Wolfgang Puck Express.

Disney Springs is pretty near by. Lots of good choices. Raglan Road or Boathouse are really great. You could also just order in a pizza. Orlando has pretty much every chain you can imagine. Giordano's (sp?) delivers to Disney. Really good chicago deep dish.

For something "quick" Wolfgang Puck Express would be a great option, probably the best at all of Disney. Something a little more leisurely then both Raglan Road and House of Blues in DTD get good reviews. Other semi-quick options that are pretty good are Beaches & Cream (need reservations) and Crew's Cup Lounge at Yacht/Beach Club. I actually might go the Yacht/Beach Club route - a nice resort to visit and not far from CBR at all and probably a bit easier to visit right now than DTD.

If you decide against eating at your resort, I'd probably just head to Disney Springs and eat there. You could do Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express.

Earl of Sandwich is one of our favorites. The food is always good and fast. There are plenty of choices in Disney Springs if you want another option.

Shutters got a new chef recently. When reading reviews make sure they are current. As in this year. We ate there this past May and LOVED it ... Plus it's great for arrival night bc u can explore your resort, unpack and set up your room. I'd definitely give it a try!! We are going again this may and plan to eat there again.

The food court does suck though. But I think that about most fast food. Lol.

Sanaa at AK Lodge, Whispering Canyon, Ohana are all good resort options for dinner

Like a couple of PPs, I wonder if you were reading old reviews of Shutters. All of the recent ones I've read have been quite favorable. Josh from easywdw did a review not that long ago and seemed to like it a lot. And he is one reviewer whose opinion I trust. He's quite forthcoming about why he likes or dislikes something. Unless you don't like the look of the menu, I wouldn't write it off so quickly.

We just stayed at CBR in September. Food court was typical food court food. We only ate here once, but we would probably steer clear again. We didn't get the chance to eat at Shutters, but it looked nice and we talked to a few people who did eat there and they said they enjoyed it!

When we drive down and eat on the first night we usually do either Raglan Road or Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs, a Signature Pizza from Boardwalk pizza window at the Boardwalk, or Kona Cafe/ Capt'n Cooks at the Poly!

I can't speak to Shutters, but we liked the food court at CBR. Found it to be more than sufficient, food was pretty good, and we liked it better than Pepper Market at CSR.

I would actually drive over to the Boardwalk and go to ESPN. No ADRs but we often go there in the late afternoon/early evening with no trouble. And if there's a wait, we walk around the Boardwalk and enjoy the sights and sounds.

We stayed at CBR in May and loved the food court. It's typical counter service, so nothing out of this world but nothing bad. Shutters has been getting a lot of rave reviews lately as well so I'm not sure if you are reading old reviews. We spoke to several other guests while we were there who were very pleasantly surprised at what a great meal they had. If you are looking for quick and easy I'd just eat at your resort.
