If they had a problem it has been fixed :thumbsup2 Never waited more than 15 minutes even on busy park days. Did have to stand a couple times late at night but that was my choice.

The boats on the other hand need a little help. The boat to DTD from SSR never showed up on Saturday morning (waited almost an hour) ended up walking to DTD. No big deal because we were at the Springs.

Not to burst a bubble, but when we were there last week we waited almost 40 minutes for a MK bus on MOnday morning, but there were cast members taking notes..after that, we just drove everywhere. Perhaps they did get it fixed!

"Fixed" probably isn't an appropriate adjective when it comes to bus service. SSR has at least 5 separate bus routes (four parks plus DTD), sometimes more when the waterparks are separate. If each bus averages 3-4 trips per hour thru the resort over a 15 hour day, that's 200-300 loops every single day.

Regardless of the system, it's practically impossible to eliminate any long waits. Some experiences will be good...others will be bad. We can only hope that the good reports outnumber the bad.

But I don't think it's coincidental that there are many reports of improved bus service now that gas prices are 1/3 of what they were over the summer. :rolleyes1

We were there the 6-13th. We had no bus problems at SSR at all. We also had great boat service.

We were quite pleased!:)

We were there from Nov 30th to Dec 11th and the buses were excellent. Only one long wait of 25 minutes one morning, then the guy called in one of the waiting buses.

We did well on late nights too.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading how bad the service was. I still don't like waiting 10 minutes though.:lmao: I really would like to see more buses on the routes.

I was at SSR 12/4 to 12/12 and didn't have major problems with the bus system. One day we waited over 40 minutes for an EPCOT bus (when we had dinner reservations, of course). It also happens that it was about the only time a cast member wasn't at the Grandstand station. I told the driver about our wait and he said, "It doesn't surprise me. I have been stuck in traffic." Stuck in traffic? How much traffic is there between EPCOT and SSR?

Well, the next day my folks and I were the only people on an afternoon bus bound for DHS. So I talked with the driver. He said that buses receive new orders after they complete one circuit. So, he went through SSR and took us to DHS. As soon as he would drop us off he would get orders to go somewhere else intirely. He said sometimes they are asked to do the same route twice, but dispatch is VERY appologetic about that. Drivers also work 4 hours, then get an hour off, then drive the next 3 hours. He loved his job and recommends it to anyone (of course if I remember his name and put that on my job application he gets a $500 bonus).

Anyway, all my waits were 15 minutes or less at SSR during this time (except the one EPCOT bus). Not bad at all.

We were at SSR From Dec. 8-12 and for the most part the bus service was excellent. There was one 40 minute wait to get to DHS on the evening of the 8th and at the end of the MVMCP on the 9th there was quite a back up, but other than that we were very pleased. We enjoyed speaking with the CMs that were at the Grandstand bus stop.
