hi there,

We're lucky to be staying at the Yacht Club later this summer. We're planning to hit emh most mornings. Since the YC Galley doesn't open until 7:30, I'm curious about where we could grab a light breakfast (cereal or bagel, fruit, coffee) to eat in the room.

One place I thought of is the Boardwalk Bakery. Does anyone happen to know what time they open?

Is there a place in either the Yacht Club or the Beach Club where we could get a quick breakfast? Do the shops in the YC or BC carry any basic groceries (like milk)?

thanks in advance for your help,

Sandi

We grabbed bagels from Beaches and Cream, which is outside the Beach Club. I think the quickest way to eat breakfast is to keep supplies inthe room. We shopped on our way into town, but I THINK you can get supplies from the convenience store at the resort.

The Beach Club has the Beach Club Villas so the Atlantic Wear has groceries and dry goods, snacks and a variety of beverages.

The lounge in the lobby at the YC has contintental breakfast items. We also ate at the YC Galley for breakfast and Cape May. All were outstanding!

We grabbed a couple of quick breakfasts at the Ale & Compass in the YC lobby when we stayed there last year. I'm not sure, but I think they open around 7.

The Yacht Club is right next to the Dolphin hotel, which has Tubbi's Cafeteria on the lower level. Tubbi's is open 24 hours, has lots of breakfast options, and even has a few grocery type items you can take back into your room. There is a convenience store on the Boardwalk (Thimbles and Threads?) that does carry some grocery items. It may have a few more things that than the hotel gift shop, but the Dolphin will probably be closer than the Boardwalk unless you want to take the boat. We made a grocery stop as part of our car service from the airport, so we didn't buy much elsewhere.

We like the Boardwalk Bakery - it's quick and they're open very early! We're usually one of the first ones down on the Boardwalk - so we grab a pastry or breakfast sandwich and some coffee and sit at an umbrella table and watch the CMs cleaning up the boardwalk for the day! It's a nice relaxing way to start the day! ::yes::

We also like the Boardwalk Bakery for a quick breakfast. Very relaxing way to start the day just sitting on the boardwalk watching the resort come alive as you enjoy the bakery's wonderful goodies. The Cinnamom Yummie is to die for!

:D Thanks to all who responded. It's nice to know we'll have so many options. I really appreciate your help.

It's a hike to the Boardwalk Bakery (about 10 minutes), but worth it if you want to choose from a better selection. The Ale & Compass starts serving continental breakfast (pastries, bagels, and coffee) at 6 or 6:30 am.

Have you also considered room service? You can request it the night before by simply hanging the order form from your door.

We also go to the Ale and Compass for a quick breakfast. FYI-they have the BEST cinnamon rolls. I had to have one every morning while we stayed there.:p
