Hello,

We will be staying at SSR. Where are some good places to get a quick breakfast, either at the resort or in the parks? We will have a car, so anywhere near the resort would be fine too. We just don't want to spend too much time at breakfast.

Thanks!
Michelle

In the parks, my picks would be Seasons (in the Land at Epcot), Main Street Bakery (MK), and Starring Rolls (DHS); not too sure about what AK has available. It's easy to grab a quick roll and a beverage (if on the dining plan, the roll is one snack credit).

I'd consider trying the food court there at SSR or even just picking up some breakfast food at a grocery store and eating in the room- those rooms should have small fridges.

We always save money and time by eating breakfast in our rooms. We have a fridge, so can store milk - we just have a quick bowl of cereal and some fruit.

On the rare times that we have breakfast in the parks, we either pick up something at one of the bakeries or do a character breakfast (like Crystal Palace).

Their is a McDonald's in downtown Disney. Not sure exactly what your
looking for.

There is a great coffee kiosk just outside the entrance gates to Ak. They have wonderful coffee drinks and pastries.

:woohoo: When we stay at SSR we eat breakfst in the counter service restaurant at that resort - it is great! That way we start out on full tank and will be ready for an early - 11:30am - lunch, which is normally before the lunch crowds hit!

I always stay at the value resort and Bagels there are like 35 or 40 cents and the cream cheese is free. Add that to one of those bottomless mugs of sodie-pop that are the best deal this side of creation and you got a meal fit for anyone for breakfast. if you have kids throw in a second bagel and a piece of fresh fruit. Ta-da.

Also by doing this you save room for the big lunches and dinners which is where it is real at with Disney dining.

Of course the Pooh-Character breakfast is not to be missed and is a bigger breakfast.

Hope y'all have a blast!

Granola bars (or whatever your bar of choice is) put it in your pocket eat it while you wait for bus. For what we call "fork food" there is a kiosk or shop in every park that someone listed previously there are also real restaurants but I would suggest ADR's. You could do cereal and fruit in room or instant oatmeal or grits. D10D likes boiled eggs and Clif bars and Clif fruit twists and fresh fruit and grits.
Personally for time and money I prefer the granola bar in pocket system.

I second the eating in the room. Plus it saves us one of our TS credits on the DxDDP so that we can do signature dining every night!

Always eat breakfast in the room. WE make a hot pot of water and we eat oatmeal and some fruit. Add milk. juice, coffee and you are set.

We ordered muffins and snack bars from Garden Grocer last time and just ate in our room or on the way to the bus.

We just came back from Disney last week (BCV) and ordered food from Garden grocer. I second this suggestion. I boiled eggs (if you like eggs) the evening before and also had cereal, milk, juice, etc. We also got oatmeal, bagels and cc, as well as microwavable sausages. It gave us enough protein and carbs so that we were good for the AM. The advantage of staying in a room with a kitchenette is definately being able to eat breakfast in your room, I think. By 11:30 we were hungry and it did save us from the crowds. Eating in the room saves on TS as well as QS for other meals.
It was quick and easy. Don't have to hassle with waiting in line for coffee/muffins/donuts at a kiosk somewhere in the parks (even at 8 am, there was a line 6-8 deep at the coffee kiosks at Epcot). I do recommend someone getting the refillable mug. The coffee that they give you in the room (instant) is so-so if you're a coffee person, but the coffee at the resort-mug station was pretty good (plus, real half & half and splenda). Just a thought...

there is a crossroad and a wallmart store by ssr we always stop and get some food and eat in are room or on the porch if it warm and it gives us a chance to sit with the kids and plan the day in the parks without all the noise of the food court

We stay at Pop and even though it can be busy, we don't take more than 20 minutes to get and eat our food.
Sometimes, we grab the food and then go get in line for the bus and eat while waiting for it. We also like eating in Epcot, over on the left side is a kiosk outdoors that serves the best coffee on site and offers many types of coffe cakes, etc..We used to eat in the room but prefer to get going early. :santa:
