This is my first trip report/first post really. Forgive me but I don't use abbreviations, my brain just won't think like that.
The wife and I will be celebrating our 4th year of wedded bliss next week at Disney World.
We are excited for the time together and the break from our two young boys (although we will actually miss them and talk about them the whole time). We are locals, so there's not much to discuss on travel.
Here's the details:
Day 1:
We'll head out the morning of the 5th, drop the babes off and swing by our favorite breakfast place, Panera, for coffee and such. We'll head straight to Animal Kingdom ride some rides, see Finding Nemo The Musical, get lunch at Rainforest Cafe, then head to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village.
We haven't stayed there as we typically go with Value Resorts, but wanted to splurge a bit. Plus, I booked through a DVC points broker so I'm happy with the cost.
We'll explore the hotel before getting ready for dinner that evening at Jiko. The wife is especially excited about this and has already looked over the menu a few times. I think we will be ordering one of everything.
We plan to relax at the hotel or room for the remainder of the evening.
Day 2:
We have reservations at Chef Mickey's for breakfast on the 6th! I can't wait for this, I've never done it, and I've watched countless times passing by on the monorail. I've wanted to do this for years!!
We will then enjoy Magic Kingdom that morning. Head back to the hotel to freshen up and go to Epcot for the afternoon/evening. Epcot is our favorite park. World Showcase all day every day!! I'm certain we will imbibe and enjoy the tunes of The British Revolution and Off-Kilter. If we have too much we may end up dancing. We'll see.
From there we will play it by ear, perhaps go to Jelly Rolls for the remainder of the evening, but that's just big talk. We aren't 22 anymore, so we like to be in bed by 10.
Day 3:
Breakfast at the hotel and check out and head to Hollywood Studios. Haven't done Toy Story Mania in a long time and I want to play. After this we are checking in to Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This was a late add-on, we decided we needed another day and wanted to be close to Downtown Disney.
The St. Patrick's Day Festival starts this evening, so we will enjoy one of our favorite places, Raglan Road, and get our Irish out and enjoy the craic. Hopefully some friends will join us.
I plan on doing a detailed Trip Report of the same name, perhaps even try to update daily if it works out, but don't count on it.
Thanks for reading!
