DH and I were going to be Ghostbusters for Halloween, but the place I ordered the costumes from messed up (it's a long awful story) and needless to say we are now costumeless.

Does anyone have any ideas for quick and easy adult "couples" costumes? DH just wants to wear our Renaissance Faire outfits, but the idea of trying to play party games in my corset isn't sounding like fun. ;)

What I actually think would be funny is if he went as a Toddler in a Tiara & you went as the over the top mommy!

Salt and Pepper shakers. We saw a couple dressed this way last year. Looked easy to do at the last minute.

If I remember right they bought "chef's hats" and flattened out the top and glued on black cutout circles for the shaker holes and had the printed works SALT and PEPPER on the rim of each hat. The one that was salt wore a white turtle neck and the one that was pepper wore a grey heather turtleneck. I don't recall the pants colors, but you could see what you have that looks right.

Friends of our did Jon and Kate. He had a spikey black wig and she had a blonde one cut asymetrically with spikes in the back. It was too funny.

My niece posted pictures on FB of a party she went to last weekend. Someone was dressed as Octomom. She had big wax lips and eight dolls in a sling. You DH could wear his renaissance costume and you could do this.

Me, my sister and her boyfriend are going as the Swine Flu. I bought al of us pig noses/ears/tails at a costume store (could probably find em at a dollar store/walmart or party store). We have t-shirts with H1N1 on the back and each of us will have a box of tissues.

Not PC at all..but since both of my parents had Swine Flu (dad even developed pnuemonia but they both recovered) and Halloween is my Mom's birthday, we are mostly ribbing them.

We had some friends go at Red Riding Hood and the wolf in Grandma's nightgown. HE was Red and SHE was the wolf. They found masks and everything they needed at Goodwill or in the Halloween aisle. It was hilarious. He is really tall and skinny and was getting hit on all night (kept masks on until Midnight). There were a lot of really embarrassed men at that party :lmao:

When I was pregnant with our twins DH and I went as Tim and Al from Tool Time. Flannel shirts, jeans, tool belts and we stuck bandaids and and arm sling on DH. I was Al-with my belly and all.

Okay, I totally ripped this off from someone else:

Buy cheap shirts at CVS or Walmart or what-have-you. Buy cheap pom-poms. Write on the shirts, "GO CEILINGS!" in as fancy as you can be without stressing yourself too much. Wear baseball caps and carry those ugly giant foam fingers.

When people ask who are, you answer, "We're ceiling fans."

I LOVE THIS!! May steal it for MNSSHP next year.

My partner and I were going to a party as laundry baskets.....Whites and Darks. The party got cancellend however.....

We had laundry baskets with the bottom cut out and suspenders to hang them from our shoulders. We had articles of clothing pinned to the suspenders as well as attached to the sides of the laundry baskets. I was going to be dressed all in white and Lisa in black.

I guess we will save them for next year!!
