Quick a tipping question they are here now

Am I supposed to tip the carpet cleaner? He's is getting readyo to pack it up. He is the owner and has one helper. He did a few other things so the bill is just about 400 plus we are having him back to clean and whiten the grout on all of out tile which is a pretty big job. So do I tip and is 10.00 enough cause thats all the cash I have

Hmm. I wouldn't.

Sometimes I am ignorant about tipping issues, but I would consider this like other home maintenance things. I would not tip the roofer or plumber either...

Hey--for $300 I would have sent DH over this weekend to clean your carpets! He does as good a job as any commercial service, and you wouldn't need to tip him!

I've never tipped my carpet cleaner. Well, not with cash anyhow!

My husband did this for a living....tips are great but NOT!!! expected.

My favorites were his "regulars" that gave him baked goods and jams.
