+I took so many pics of everything, except food. We were usually starving and dug right in and I didn't want to make my DH or IL's think I was a nutter when I was snapping pics of food :D

However even sans photos, I decided to give you a quick run down of my thoughts.

First snack- Kusafiri Bakery, Animal Kingdom. We ordered 2 cupcakes. The special Golden Lion Tamarin cupcake and the Zebra cupcake. Both were super yummy, they were very cold so we let them sit for a few minutes. The girls loved them (and their sticky faces and hands showed it).

The golden lion tamarin cupcake was a chocolate cupcake with super thick and yummy white buttercream. The zebra one was a white cupcake with the same vanilla buttercream and little sheets of white choclate/dark chocolate zebra stripes. Both were very yummy and I wish we would have gotten them again on our next AK day, but we didn't. :confused3 I had a lot of cupcakes at WDW and I will say I enjoyed their icing a lot!

First CS Lunch- Wolfgang Puck express- Somehow I missed the memo that there were two and we found the smaller of the two. The menu was limited, so we got 2 pepperoni pizzas (one with mushrooms) with the world's largest brownies for dessert. The pizzas were fresh, the 2 pizzas were more than enough for my DH, 2 DDs (4 & 7) and my self. We took the brownies home, they were a bit dry. I didn't discover the 2nd WPE until our last day, so I missed out on their bigger menu. Here are my girls showing off the giant "bigger than your head" brownies!

We started at Chef Mickey's for dinner on 9/22- Character interaction was okay and they seemed to have their timing down pretty well. The food was good, we ate our fill and weren't disappointed. It certainly wasn't the best meal of our trip, but it was tasty and filling.

Here is one pic of DH and DD1 with a plate of food sitting there (that counts right? ) :rotfl:

and a little bon bon dessert. She loved it, but then chocolate is right up her alley!

Our next day started with a late (10:10) breakfast at Hollywood and Vine, originally I booked this as a lunch but decided to opt for breakfast. The breakfast was yummy! I tried a bit of everything and it was all good. My girls LOVED the mini-mickey waffles. I tried them with strawberry sauce. I also really enjoyed the tater tots and biscuits and gravy (clearly, I have refined taste).

The character interaction here was FANTASTIC! Especially Handy Manny. My DD(4) loves him, my MIL made her a HandyManny dress and I made a matching hairbow. He came by to see his #1 fan several times and walked her around the restaraunt and "talked to" her stuffed Dusty saw and it was just a perfect moment for all of us. She is in the full on belief phase, so she was adorable to watch. I think the later breakfast is perfect, we already snagged FPs for TSMM, rode Star Tours 2x, met a few characters and bought cupcakes at Starring Rolls all before breakfast.

No food pic, but this is my DD with Manny. You can just see the awe in her face and she was in love! We ended up seeing him at least 6 more times. Each and everytime his handlers and Manny loved her clothing. They said she was the first little girl to ever rock a Handy Manny dress.

Starring Rolls OMG, yummy yummy! I bought 2 cupcakes first thing. I wanted them and didn't want to risk them being sold out. So I took along a little cooler bag with a frozen ice thingie.

They gave me little boxes and I boxed those beauties up and stowed them under the stroller seats to enjoy later. I bought Red Velvet and Marble. Honestly, I wish I could have bought them all, but alas that would be a little too piggy :D Both cupcakes were great, I thought the red velvet edged out the marble a little, I love cheesecake and the icing was awesome with the little toffee bits! Here they are before I boxed them up, they weren't quite so pretty after that

Well I have a bunch more places to talk about, but my kids insist on eating dinner. I will be back later for a bit more :D And after I dump my pics I remembered I do have some cupcake pics and a few pics with food in the background!

Thanks for the reviews I'll try to forgive the no pictures.;)

The first time we ate at WPE we ate at the smaller one too (we were at DQ and needed lunch). We didn't eat at the other location until the next year. We like both but the menu at the Marketplace one is definitely bigger, as is the seating area. However, they do seem to run out of desserts pretty regularly. I will ask before we order what desserts they have left. If it's only frozen yogurt and cookies we return on another day.

After our really full day at DHS we headed back to OKW for a quick refresher and then went to our ADR at Boma. We were meeting DH's childhood friend for dinner.

I think between the 7 of us we tried almost everything they had to offer. We all enjoyed the various cut meat, especially the beef and I really liked the sweet potato mixture (starts with an F, but can't remember the name). My IL's and DH tried every soup, I only tried the chicken vegetable. I thought it tasted like the inside of a chicken pot pie, very comforting on a rainy night (which it was).

We tried all the flavors of Hummus with the various dipping breads. I remember the Sun dried tomato most of all, it reminded me of taco dip.

My girls tried a bunch of the African inspired things, but did also enjoy a few things from the kids buffet. My youngest loved the rice, it had bits of dried fruit in it. SHe had at least 3 helpings. My older one loves couscous, but didn't enjoy it, too many added components.

My DD's loved all the desserts, especially the zebra domes. I would have bet money I took a zebra dome pic, but cant seem to find it.

And for what it is worth, we didn't find anything to overly cinnamonny- like I have seen complained about recently.

Thanks so much for the reviews thus far. They are great (even without pictures). I must say that I absolutely LOVE your DD's dresses and bows. Absolutely adorable! I can't believe I have never been to Kusafari Bakery in all my trips! This is on my to do list the next trip. The lion cupcake looks yummy! Which WPE is the small one?

Thanks again!

Great reviews - and your pictures are perfect!

I like to hear current reviews of the places - so I appreciate your reviews... and I've eaten at Boma, and am not quite sure of the names either - but its good to get a current review - so thank you for taking the time!

and I also think your dd is adorable, and her outfits compliment her very well!

East and West confuse me, so I'd hate to tell you wrong, but the big one is down near Earl of Sandwich and Little MissMatched, so whatever end that is :D

Aren't Earl of Sandwich and Little MissMatched on completely different ends of DTD? :confused3 I'm hoping to try WPE next month myself, and want to make sure I know which one to go to!

They aren't now (I think I read somewhere that Little Missmatched moved) we ate at EoS and then headed to LMM and Once upon a toy, all within a small area.

Gotcha! I have actually never been to that one. I have only been to the one by Cirque Soleil so it's on my to do list. For those wondering, it is by Ghiardelli, Earl of Sandwich, the train and Christmas shop. Apparently, I haven't looked to hard for it in the past. ;)

Oh, okay! That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying! Now I'm excited, cause I love the LMM store and its silly socks, but I rarely head all the way over to the other side of DTD!

Our next morning started bright and early at MK rope drop. We did our thing for several hours and then headed to CHH for a little lunch. From reading the Dis I knew the food would be good and that seating upstairs would be nice, cool and quiet.

Between the 6 of us we ate a lot of food :D

DH- fried shrimp, with fries and coleslaw. Had a coke to drink and a chocolate cake. He ate it all but 1 lone shrimp, he was just too full. He enjoyed it, he doesnt get a lot of shrimp at home, except during Lent so it was a treat.

Me- Chicken nugget meal. Nice white breast nuggets, they had BBQ, ketchup and honey mustard at the condiment stand. I also saw someone else ask for ranch to dip and they gave them that. I went with BBQ. The side was fries and I picked the apple blossom for dessert. I wish I had one of those right now, that little apple blossom was GREAT. I was warm and would have a been even better a la mode, but I enjoyed it (every bite of it).

DDs- Both had kids chicken nuggets, chocolate chip cookie and grapes. They were okay, I guess, I have a big issue with Disney giving kids crappy nuggets and adults getting good juicy nuggets. I ended up giving the girls some of my nuggets, I didn't need 8 nuggets, I had to save room for the apple blossom after all!

Borrowed pic of apple blossoms :rotfl:

DMIL and DFIL- One of them had the lobster roll and the other had Grilled Salmon. They enjoyed both (they share a lot) and they were impressed with the Salmon coming from a fast food place. They also really like the side of couscous, unexpected at a counter service. DMIL picked apple blossome for dessert (smart woman) and DFIL chose the chocolate cake.

Borrowed chocolate cake pic, because I'm sure you've never seen Disney's chocolate cake before.

The girls really liked the disney chocolate cake. I think they liked the chocolate icing most of all. Their love of chocolate icing made me realize how well the Resolve stain stick works. It took that icing right out of DD2's dress (we luckily had a washer and dryer in our room at OKW).

Great update, thanks. CHH is one of my favorite counter services at MK. Their tuna fish is really great too.

For Dinner we had ADR's at CRT! My girls had their BBB makeovers and they were beyond excited for their first princess meal.

The 4 adults all ordered the salad to start. It was yummy, just a regular salad but it was nice to start with something light.

Every one of us ordered the ROASTED BEEF TENDERLOIN, Sliced Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Duchess Potatoes, Asparagus, and a Chasseur Sauce. I guess Chasseur was some sort of mushroom based thing, I had mine left off, everyone else kept there's on.

Let me say this was DELICIOUS! Soooo good and I am willing to say that the duchess potatoes were some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. THey were a little less than generous with the asparagus, which is actually a veggie my whole family likes.

here is another pic from Google images :D Picture mine sauceless, I seem to remember the sauce being more brownish red like au jus, but I could be wrong.

For dessert I ordered the trio and my FIL and DH ordered the VALRHONA CHOCOLATE MOUSSE, my MIL ordered the sorbet (she passed up chocolate, :confused3 ) They were all very yummy!

Chocolate Mousse

The girls also got the beef tenderloin and because my oldest DD doesnt do mashed potatoes our waiter gave her a third "ear". She got both "appetizers" and still a dessert! He also still gave her some of those yummy potatoes, which as any good mom would do, I took them off her plate.

For dessert the yongest got the make your own sundae and my oldest got the cupcake.

I should have made the youngest order a cupcake because I had ordered these for them to enjoy.

This is the dark chocolate one, there was also a white chocolate one. They are $12.50 each and the mousse was soooo good. We took them to go, mostly and ate it for breakfast (that's the breakfast of champions).

Now here is a review of the place since I talked about the food. I really enjoyed the castle set up. For us, it was worth 2 credits. Of all our character meals this was the most relaxed. I'm not sure if it is this way for all the meals but for our dinner, we met Cindy, were quickly seated and then ordered, were served and ordered desserts before any princesses came out.

There is a chance we were just seated during a break, but it was so nice to enjoy our meal before characters, it also insured that our kids weren't distracted and actually ate.

We met Cindy (of course), Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle in her blue dress.

I know that this meal saved us a whole lot of time standing in the sun waiting to meet a princess for 2.2 seconds. Each princess visited and posed for multiple pics with my girls!

We also really enjoyed the wands, the waiter even gave them to us grown-up princesses! THat came in super handy when my DD2 left her wand at the bus stop and we had 2 back-ups!

Disney2011973.jpg

THe wishing stars were also a really sweet touch, I have no clue what my girls wished for but from the looks on their faces they wished and wished with all their might!

After our super yummy dinner we exited the castle and stopped by to see this handsome man.

In a short summation, I would totally go to CRT again, even at 2 TS credits. It was a great night and enjoyed by all 6 of us! It was also the most relaxing character meal we had our whole trip.

Glad to hear and see a posititive review for CRT. The food looks fantastic.
