queue for mine train

I'm wondering how bad the line for the mine train will be in September? I went on the Mermaid Ride for the first time this November and purposely didn't use a FP for it. I wanted to experience the queue so just didn't worry about the line. It was Jersey Week and a marathon week and I waited 20 minutes for the Mermaid Ride. I'd like to experience the queue for the new mine train ride, too, but wondering if I should do a FPP for it instead.

I think it's too early to tell. The Mine Train just opened yesterday, so while there are long waits right now...only time will show if the waits are consistently long. The nice thing about September though, is that there aren't huge crowds to contend with like the rest of the summer.

Editing to add: The Little Mermaid ride will probably have consistently shorter lines than The Mine Train simply because it is an omnimover, whereas the train car will have to stop to unload and load, which will naturally take longer.

I was able to ride the mine train on the 24 hours of magic day. Does anyone know if the queue wasn't fully operational? I felt like it wasn't an amazing queue. There were a few cool points (the colored waters) but I felt like the one item that said to move stuff was all black and there was nothing to move.

Anyone know?

All depends on what time of day and what day in September, but should be comparable to the Mountains.

There are 3 things in the line....moving the gems into the right shape/color spots. It is 3 screens. Then the colored water that plays music when you move your hands under them and then spinning the gem barrels to produce the dwarves on the ceiling.

Ok thanks. At least around 10am on the 24 hours day, the first one, the moving the gems one, was not working. The 3 screens were just black. Thanks for the info!
