Many of you know I have recently followed the lead that Gdad did in getting a 50mm 1.2 lens. I have thanked Jeff for that lead. It is an amazing piece of glass. It is also manual focus.

Now I grew up on manual focus lenses and the images this lens creates is well worth the the process. I have noticed only one small operator challenge.

I now wear contacts. Mono vision contacts if you know what that is. One eye is set for reading and one for distance. The brain merges them together. Sounds weird to me but it works. Well my distance eye is my camera focus eye. I have adjusted the diopter on the camera but find that the focus seems to be just slightly off from what I see and what I take. I am playing with the diopter and the lens to get it right, just wondered if anyone else has the same challenge.

Oh, and no need to mention my age, advanced age, or lack of talent skill or ability because I would probably agree!

yes. you might look into the katz eye thread on here. it helps with manual focus
