I have a few questions and thought I'd combine them into one thread.

1. Did you guys put a menu at each place setting, or just a one or two per table?

2. Did anyone not have a guest book? What did you do instead?

3. Did anyone not have a cake? With a dessert party, I just don't think it will get eaten, and I think I could save money here. What do you think?

4. Is there a fee for Disney for using an outside florist?

I can answer a few of your questions:

1. Did you guys put a menu at each place setting, or just a one or two per table?
No. We had worked with Disney for our guests to be able to select their meal preference (beef, chicken, fish, veggie) prior to attending our wedding. So our guests knew in advance what they would be receiving. We just gave FTW a map of who would be siting where and color coded it based on their food selection. Besides, it would have been extra work when I was already limited on time.

2. Did anyone not have a guest book? What did you do instead?
We had guests sign a signature mat around our engagement picture. I ahve seen couples use ceramic plates that have their name and date painted on for all guests to sign, and engagement photobooks (Carrie has a great one!)

4. Is there a fee for Disney for using an outside florist?
I have heard that some get charged for this. What FTW told us was that if we went with someone else and they (FTW) had to set it up or take it down then they would charge us a fee. FTW has a newer policy where if your event happens inside of a park then you need to go through Disney for your floral.

For our geustbook we used guestbookstore.com

Check it out. I love reading the guestbook every now and then. This is how we set it up (we had our reception at home)

aww and you should have a cake....maybe just get a mini cake for you and your husband :) Seriously though if you don't want one you don't have to.

We actually sent out a newsletter 2 weeks before the wedding with the menu on that. It helped to combine the newsletter and menu...saved money & time! And that way the guests knew ahead of time what they could look forward to!

2. Did anyone not have a guest book? What did you do instead?
We had a 'wishes' book we made on blurb.com It was a great substitute for the typical guest book...its great to read now. All our guests left little 'wishes' for us thruought the book....Mickey & Minnie even signed it!!!

We had a cake at ours, since we had our DP the night before as part of our 'rehearsal' dinner. So I can't really help here...but i will say that most guests probably 'expect' to see a cake cutting. How about cupcakes instead???

I dont know if there is or not, I brought my own silks and there was no fee. Id ask your planner/coordinator :thumbsup2

1. Yes we did put a menu card at each place setting. We used Shelley with Impressions and she delievered, and set up for us. She was wonderful. This is what they looked like:

i did menus at each place setting as there was only 18 of us.

We had cake as our dessert and a dessert party!! you can never have too much sweet things

We got a set of little guest books in hallmark at mall at millenia. we used one for disney and the rest on each table at our uk blessing. they sit in the case that was supplied all together.

I used disney floral for our silk floral so not sure on outside fee

1. We had a menu card at every place setting

2. We did do a guest book, but it was a photobook that I made on shutterfly. We put pictures from our past disney trips on them. There were blank pages where the guests could sign.

3. We had a cake and a dessert party. I can't imagine not having a wedding cake.

4. I'm not sure about the outside florist question. I just know that if you are having your reception inside of a park, you have to use disney floral.
