Hi Lucy,

I've never been to DLP in August, so I can't help with that. I really enjoyed eating at both Auberge and Invention (the best buffet meal I've ever had)!! When I'm not in the parks, I like to stop in for a glass of wine in the louange at the Sequoia Lodge. Space Mountain at DLP is also great fun at DLP if you like thrill rides.

Have a great trip!

thanks

we do love thrill rides. dd7 is sometimes too short to get on them but me dh and dd11 love the big rides.

ive seen the rainforest cafe mentioned in a thread and didnt realise there was one in dlp but we are a big fan and would love to go there. could someone please tell me where it is?

thanks again

lucy

It's in Disney Village, which is similar to Downtown Disney (but on a much smaller scale), between the parks and the hotels (except the Disneyland). I remember finding the DLRP RFC great! We've never really liked the RFCs in Orlando or London, but the Paris one was surprisingly good and we had a great evening there.

thanks

im going to have a good look at the list of restaurants on the official website. no doubt i will come back with more q's.

what are the prices like for a table service restaurant?

Lucy, this site here is really good. If you click on the name of the restaurant, then on MENU it will give you an idea of prices. Children's prices are for ages 11 and under at DLRP, and some table restaurants are now doing a teenager menu.

This site has got lots of good photos of restaurants.

We went end of August last year and made some bookings before we went because I like to plan our day around our meals. Doesn't that make us sound a family of gluttons! :rotfl: Lots of people wait until they get to DLRP before making reservations but if you want to eat at a certain place on a certain date I would book in advance, or at least on the day you arrive there. You can book up to 60 days in advance on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50. However, you can't book for Rainforest Cafe or Annette's, you just have to turn up there.

We haven't had a bad meal at DLRP. We especially like the Blue Lagoon and for character meals try Inventions, Cafe Mickey or Lucky Nugget. Lots of people have also recommended the character tea at the Plaza Gardens.

Unfortunately Pal Mickey doesn't work at DLRP. :sad2:

One of DLRP's best secrets is the dragon under the castle and lots of the rides are better than WDW because they are newer. So long as you go with an open mind and don't expect DLRP to be exactly the same as WDW, you will have a wonderful time! pixiedust:
