I just got an email PIN for free dinning, but it says for value resorts and we are planning on staying at Boardwalk (for a conference). Would they typically extend the offer to other resorts?

Yes, you can typically get it at other resorts, provided they have rooms available for the PIN. They use the value resort as an example for people to see how "cheap" Disney can be.

Was your group given a conference room rate? If so, I don't think you can add free dining.
If you go to the Disney site, pop in your resort/dates, you'll see what the rack rate would be. You may find that a group rate (if offered) is a far better deal than free dining.
If your group doesn't have a deal, then free dining (as long as it's available for your dates/resort) might be something to consider.

I believe the rack rate for boardwalk standard room is $335/nt pretax. Our conference discount rate is $280/nt. My husband and 2 kids (5 and 2) will be coming along. We are planning on staying 5 nights. I should be able to get reimbursement from my company for 4 nights and just pay for 1 night out of my pocket. I don't have to use the conference rate. It will end up saving us on DH and DD's dinning fee if we pay the rack rate even though the extra night we are staying will cost $60 more. Is that right?

Hey I got one, too! I think you need to call and see if it applies to your reservation! I would call and talk to a CM!
