My daughter was accepted to the DCP as Main Gate Operations and starts May 16th. That is just two short weeks away. We are familiar with the location possibilites with MGO and what the responsibilities are at most of those locations. However, the one location and responsibilties that we are unsure about are the water parks. Does anyone know what those deployed to the waterparks for main gate operations are responsible for? Please any info AT ALL regarding MGO will be greatly appreciated.

I am in no way an authority on this subject, but I imagine it would be similar (if not identical) to MGO at the other parks. There is a parking lot with kiosks where you pay to park, there are turnstiles, same as the rest of the parks. That's my thought, anyway.

I too am Main Entrance Operations however I start June 4th! While I haven't experienced this first hand, this is what I've heard. If you work at the theme parks you can do anything from working the turnstiles at the front entrance to parking lot duties like working the tram. If you work at the water parks however, neither of them charge for parking, and neither of them have parking lot trams, so what I've heard is if hired at the water parks our duties include working the turnstiles at the front, cleaning around the front area, as well as selling tickets in the ticket booths.

Again this is just what I've heard but it does go with the description in our acceptance letters that says our job could include...

"Greeting all Guests who enter the park and validating their tickets; operating turnstile areas; selling various ticket media at our water park."

Hope this helps a little!!

I have a friend who is seasonal as main entrance at one of the water parks. i could ask her what her duties include if youd like :) shes actually from spanish fork, utah!

That would be awesome please....I know where Spanish Fork is cause my daughters high school softball team and travel competitive team played in many a tournaments there.

this is what my friend said:
"Its completly different from the theme parks. We can be greeters. We have to check coolers when guests come through our turnstile. We dont allow any alcohol or glass in our park. Sometimes security helps, but for the most part it is a greeters job. We also do parking. Our lot is so small we dont have a tram or anything. We have to park everyone a certain way in case we reach capacity. Which we do almost everyday in the summer by like 10 am. Alot of us are also cashiers. We sell all the Disney tickets and our park tickets. I am also guest service trained for the water parks. We do lost and found and all that stuff. So I can be scheduled as greeter, cashier, or parking. We are not vacation planners (even though we do their job basically as a cashier). Its alot of fun because their are so many different jobs to do.Oh also we dont have turnstiles just for castmembers to maingate in, so they have to go wait in line at a ticket booth."
