Questions Re: PORS

OK, we are planning a vacation at WDW the week before we cruise Disney Magic. My son wants to stay at PORS b/c he wants to fish and the reports I've read on the DisBoard have been great reviews for this resort. How much fun would a 16yr old and 17 yr old girl have? Also, this is going to be a family gathering and my DM has trouble walking, which building do I need to request to be close to the pool, bus stop and the resturants?
