I have just booked two villas at BWV for January 2019. Both rooms will be arriving and departing the same days. DW and I will be in one, her parents in the other. The in-laws are not DVC members and do not currently have MDE accounts I have never booked two rooms at once so I have the following questions:

1) Do the in-laws need to get the MDE accounts?
2) Can I link both room reservations to my MDE account? One room is booked under my name, the other under my father in-law's.
3) What do I need to do to be able to book FP+ for the entire group at the same time?
4) Is there anything else I need to know about managing multiple room reservations?

Thanks!

1) Do the in-laws need to get the MDE accounts? Yes, they need there own accounts to make everything easier and to view their room.
2) Can I link both room reservations to my MDE account? One room is booked under my name, the other under my father in-law's. You cannot manage their room from your account unless you "manage" their account, but you will be able to see it once you are all linked via friends and family on MDE. There are some restrictions managing another adult's account which I cannot remember off the top of my head. I find it easiest to set up an account for one of them with a user name and password, have that person "manage" their spouse's account that has also been created, and then you just log into the "managerial" account for the two of them and do everything. It keeps it separate for sanity purposes. You MIL and FIL will be on one account effectively, and you can manage it all if you have their log-in info. Also, they can download the app on their phone and log-in to their own accounts to look at maps, ADR's, FP's, etc. that are all linked to them.
3) What do I need to do to be able to book FP+ for the entire group at the same time? You need to add them to your friends and family list in MDE. After you add them, you will then have to log-in to their account and "accept" the invitation to link yourselves in their account. It sounds complicated, but it takes all of maybe 2 minutes.
4) Is there anything else I need to know about managing multiple room reservations? No. I do this all the time, but my parents have their own accounts. I just have everyone's log-in info because while they want to view it all and want the freedom to change things up if plans change. They don't want to set it up and worry about all the booking windows.

I added ny inlaws reservation to my MDE and added them as friends and family sonthatvI could do all of the planning and managing. They are “just along for the ride” and to do nothing but show up at the airport when I tell them to and have fun with their grandkids.

1. No they do not need their own MDE account.

2. I recently booked Poly for my family and my inlaws (2 studios). They are listed on their reservation, but i was able to add them to my MDE account. I believe i had to do a chat with disney so that i could have access to their reservation. They are also listed on my MDE for purposes of making dining reservations, selecting MB colors and FP.

3. To make it easier i just have everyone listed on my MDE site, so when making dining reservations, FP, DME reservations everyone is there on my account. I linked their tickets too, in order to be able to select FP. It was much easier this way so that we don't have 2 different accounts. Plus they are not as computer savy so i didn't want to have to explain things to them and have issues. Maybe im just a control freak, but sometimes it is just easier to handle things myself and know that everything is taken care of.

4. My only concern, probably not even a problem, is that i am wondering what confusion we will have when we are getting our "room ready" text. I'm not sure if we will know who's room we are being notified about because each room has my cell number. I think just to make it easier i will put my husband on one of the reservations so we can sort that out.
