Questions re: how WDW tickets work

Hi,

I am planning a (fairly) last minute trip to WDW for early February.
I believe that we know what days we are going but I will not be able to confirm until closer to the date.
I was hoping to book an onsite room and purchase WDW park tickets soon so that I can book fast passes at 60 days out.
However, I may need to cancel the vacation if plans fall through (long story)
My questions are as follows:

1) I want to buy one ticket through Airmiles (Canada). Do these expire? If I link it to MDE and book FP does this mean that I have "used" the tickets or could I cancel the FP and decide to use the tickets a year later? Also how long does it take for the ticket to arrive once ordered through AM?

2) I want to buy 2 ticket vouchers through Disney (using the Canadian Residents 25% discount) and link to MDE to book FP. So same question as with Airmiles ticket; could I unlink from MDE and use a year later if desired?

3) If I book my onsite room through Disney can I cancel this if need be? Even if I have it somehow linked to MDE?

WDW tickets acquired through airmiles are the exact same tickets you would get directly from WDW, so they do not expire until 14 days after first use. Linking tickets in MDE have no affect on expiry, and neither does booking FP+. We ordered tickets through airmiles a couple years ago, I believe they arrived within a week or so.

25% off tickets for Canadians will have the same rules as normal WDW tickets. There are some outstanding questions, such as can you upgrade to AP and get full gate value, but I suspect that will be the same as well. I can't see any reason for Disney to place any odd limitations on the Canadian discount tickets.

I believe the cancellation policy for WDW is as follows: 1. Room only must be cancelled at least 5 days in advance in order to get a full refund. 2. Packages I believe are 31 days cancellation.
