We are heading to the Magic this Saturday and I have a couple questions re Grand Caymen for any 5/11 cruisers.

First, if you are not booked on a Disney excursion, can you get ashore by 8:00? Any tips on how to be on one of the first tenders?

Also, for anyone with a Navigator, what are the Flouder's Reef hours on Grand Caymen day?

We have a 21 month old and are thinking of attempting the 8:30 Captin Marvin's snorkel tour.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't answer the flounder's question, our kids were older. But we had a 10:00 Captain Marvins reserved. We were on one of the first open tenders and were ashore shortly after 8:00. Capt Marvins is probably about 1/2 to 3/4 mile down from the boat, and you have to take a van from there to the water. I'd think that 8:30 would really be pushing it. For the 10:00, we weren't at all rushed. We got a couple of muffins for breakfast, and poked around a couple of the stores. I'd suggest you e-mail Capt. Marvins and ask them specifically if they can get you there that early.

I agree with Lisa... An 8:30 tour would be pushing it. You would have to make the first tender and RUN all the way to their office, and you still might not make it. You don't want to be that rushed on your cruise. Call them though and see what they think.

TnRobin reported from the Magic last week that you have to get a sticker which guarantees you a spot on one of the first tenders. And folks who booked their excursions through DCL get highest priority for early tenders.
