What will the weather be like? We are going the week before Halloween (2006). What will the weather be like that week? We live in SC and so here it is so unpredictable, but probably like low 80's here.
Also, we can't find whether Mickey's not so scary party is held that week or if is ONLY for the 30th and 31st. Anyone know???? We are assuming dates will be posted a couple of months down the road but we are trying to plan our trip 6 months in advance, in excitement, too. :)

We were there the week before Halloween in 2005. It would have been warm like 80's or 90's but we had a hurricane our first day there and it made it kinda cold the rest of the trip. We actually had to buy sweaters in Magic Kingdom :scared: I do not suggest it! Just pack for a potential cold front. We went to MNSSHP on the 27th, I think, it was awesome. The best fireworks I've ever seen and the kids loved all the candy :hyper:

Just subscribing to this thread because we'll be there Oct. 20 - 28 too! But being from WI we'll think anything over 60 degrees is hot shorts wearing weather. We were there the first week in Oct. last year and it was 80/90s - very warm - I don't think 2 more weeks will make it too much cooler.

Caleb's Mom--we will be there the EXACT same time!!! What resort are you staying at? How are the park crowds during that time?

Can't wait!!!
ASMo Oct 20-28 pluto: :eeyore: pooh: :stitch: :goofy:

Shellynn--

We were there the same time! We arrived Sat, 10/22 for a big family reunion We did MNSSHP in the downpour Sunday night briefly and poor DH had to head home Sunday morning to batton down the hatches. OMG it got sooooooooo cold after that! (We had only lived in FL a few months, but after August in FL your blood thins) My Dmom went to Walgreens and found these great fleece jackets for a fraction of WDW prices. I lived in that jacket and my jeans the whole week!

Anyway, back to the question. The weather, while it should be low to mid 80s and still chances of rain in the evenings, could vary a lot. I would probably pack mostly shorts type clothing, but definitely throw in some light pants like capris and a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt.

Last year, I know that MNSSHP was held on the Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday before Halloween. Beyond that, I just don't remember. I don't think this year's schedule is out yet. I am waiting for Food and Wine info, which is the same timeframe.

Have a great time--October is one of my favorite times to visit!!
