questions re: Candlelight Processional, ADRs and DDP...

I know this is early but I'm really thinking ahead.

According to the ADR calculator, we can begin making ADRs for our 12/21/08arrival on 6/24/08. I'm sure the information on the CP won't be out yet...I think I heard that it usually comes out in July or August.

My question is...if we want to do the CP using the DDP on Christmas Eve at Le Cellier...would I just go ahead and make an ADR for Christmas Eve at Le Cellier at the 180 day mark and then just add the CP reservation when that information is available?

Just wondered if there was a specific way of accomplishing that.

My family went to the Candlelight Processional in Dec 06 and it was AMAZING!

That said, I was told then that a regular ADR and the CP package are two seperate reservations. Having an ADR doesn't guarantee that you will get the CP package when it comes out. You can't add the CP on, you must re-book the entire thing.

I would make an ADR now for the restaurant you want, in case you can't get the package later. I think if you call as soon as the CP packages are released you should be able to get it, but I would be flexible since you are looking for Christmas Eve. I am trying to remember, I think we went 2 days before Christmas.

I agree with PP. That is exactly what I did in Dec 06. I used the first ADR as a back up in case I could not get the CP package I wanted. my only advice is find out when they are releaseing the packages and then call that day.
