Hi!

We will be staying at The Beach Club for 2 weeks with our baby who will be 6 months old in December.

A couple of questions:

-Are the cots (cribs) provided by Disney ok? Are they pack and play type cots or proper cots?

-Jennifer sleeps in a Grobag (sleeping bag) so I will bring this from home. Will mousekeeping provide cot size sheets?

-Any recommendations on which room we should request? We are thinking maybe a ground/first floor room would be good to save us going up in the elevator with the stroller. Also a room with full size balcony/terrace so we can maybe sit out sometimes in the evenings if it is warm enough without disturbing her.

-We intend to stop by a store straight from the airport to buy diapers and other supplies. Where would be a good place to stop?

Any other tips would be much appreciated!

Thank you so much!

The cribs that are provided are pack n plays and yes, they provide the sheets that fit them. The times we've used them, they have been in very good condition. I would suggest that if you have a pack n play at home to bring the sheets, this way they will smell familiar to your baby.

There are several supermarkets in the area, we have gone to Publix, as well as the Super Walmart. Goodings is probably the closest one, but they are VERY expensive.

I have never stayed at the Beach Club (we usually stay at Boardwalk), but I would think the 1st floor would be more noisy, but I may be wrong. I wouldn't worry about the elevator and strollers, they are big enough to accomodate several without cramming everyone in.

Have a great trip!

I would suggest not staying on the ground floor.... my DS2 would wake up every time someone went by our room talking to loudly. Also people arrive really late and leave very early...

Their Pac-n-plays are great.. They even come with mickey sheets. I did bring my own pillow case though. as it was the one from his bed. I just used one of their pillows... Also if you rub the pillow on your tummy to make it have your scent it works great!

You can also request a crib, though I wouldn't suggest it. They are big metal ones and they were high off the ground - my girls were frightened of them - I had to call mousekeeping to come and get it and bring my two pakNplays which they were fine in. The sheets have Mickey on them.

If you don't like the metal cribs that Beach Club offers, you can always call A Baby's Best Friend www.abbf.com

They have wonderful equipment and we have always been very happy we called them. Photos of everything they have are on their website, as well as on-line ordering.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the replies people!!! Much appreciated!

How do I ensure I get a pack and play and not a metal crib? What do Disney call them? Sorry to be dumb but we call the metal one a cot and and the pack and play a travel cot so I am unsure what to request. Do all resorts have both types?

You would ask for a pack n play. I know Boardwalk has them in all of the rooms since it's a DVC resort, Beach Club may have them in the rooms as well.

Wouldn't hurt to double-check to make sure.
