We will be heading to the world in July this year. Always stay on site but have not had the chance to stay at dvc. Would love to try this but have some questions first.

traveling with a second party (one is in a wheelchair) how difficult will it be to get two rooms ( one handcap accessable) in july


How soon do i need to list on the rent/trade boards for a trip in july

Any other helpful tips or information would be greatly appriciated

I would list as soon as you have your dates firmly set. Obviously, the sooner you book, the better availability will be, but a DVC rental is not like a cash reservation. Once you are booked, any changes in dates can be problematic, so having firm dates would be adviseable.

When you do the ressie, there are two ways to make requests such as H/A. One is a simple request; the other is "medical necessity." If a H/A room is a necessity, don't be bashful about saying so. MS does the best they can with requests, but they accommodate medical necessity requests first for obvious reasons.

If you would like to be close together, I would also request that -- and if proximity is a medical necessity (caregiver, etc.), be sure to let them know. Depending on which resort you choose, you could be some distance apart if you don't request being together.
