We would like to go for a quick 3 day trip this Spring. The boys and I (I'm a teacher) are off for Spring Break April 2-6th. We would go towards the end of that week (not Easter) and from what I've read it looks like about a level 7 for those days. My question is should we wait a few weeks after that and miss a few days of school where the crowds will be then at a 5, or make it easier on ourselves and go during Spring Break? Our main focus this trip is Animal Kingdom for Pandora so we are really worried about the crowds there.

Thanks!

If you have the ability to wait and take them out of school for a few days, it's definitely worth it. We did that when the kids were in elementary school and we had the best trips those years! Now that they're older, we can't get out of school as easily so we're stuck with Spring Break and other school holidays and it's definitely much more crowded and not nearly as fun. At least now that they're older they are willing to wait in line.

I agree that if you can take them out of school, you should wait. Crowd levels will be considerably lower and you will probably enjoy yourselves more. You didn't say the ages of your kids, so that will be a factor in taking them out of school. We took our DD out for years, but by the time she hit middle school it became too difficult.

If you can miss the days of school (work for you), then yes, make that switch. Will be much much better crowd wise.
