Hi. I'm new to this as we usually stay offsite due to cost. We are planning on going to WDW early Dec. 2007 for our tenth anniversary, with our kids. So this time we're looking on-site. How soon do I need to book? And how do I pick a resort? Any ideas on which hotels are best for families? Any hotels better(more decorated, or activities) for the holidays? How do I find the best rates? Sorry to ask so many questions, I'm just so excited to be staying on-site after all these years. :teeth:

Hello! I am so excited for you!

I would say, the first thing that you need to do to pick a resort is determine what is a comfortable amount to spend on a room for your family. I am a firm believer that ANY value resort is great; if I have the money, moderates are worth the extra $, and if I ever am fortunate enough to stay at a deluxe, I am sure it will be awesome! I have had good experiences at all the resorts I have stayed at, it just depends on your budget.

How many children will be going? What ages? This will affect your decision.

Then, after determining what level of spending you are comfortable with, you can take a look a the resorts in that price range and see what works best for your families taste. Disney really has some great options!

I have never been at christmas, so other will help you with the decorations.

Happy Planning! :flower:
