Hi Guys,
Sorry for the newbie post.

My family and my parents are planning to go to Disney World December 3-10 of 2006. (This will be my daughters B-Day present.) We want to stay in a Disney resort and want to be able to go to Disney World 5 days.
This would be 4 adults, a 5 year old and a 3 year old.

I have not seen any codes listed for Decemeber. How much is typically offered, and when should I make my reservation?

Thanks,
Matthew

Hey Matthew
I'm not sure exactly what the typical discounts are for this time period, it would all depend on what type of code you are looking for. Last year the Florida resident, Annual Passholder, and General Public Package codes for this time period were all released in the beginning of June. You picked a great time to go though! Low crowds, value season, and beautiful christmas decorations! Anyway, I hope this helps a little. Good luck!

oh by the way, I would make your reservation as soon as possible. You can always apply a code later if one comes out. :thumbsup2

That is exactly what I wanted to hear. :-) I will make the arrangements soon then.

I was hoping to get the AP code, and use it for 2 rooms if it was financially sound.

If not, the general codes would be great. :-)

How do I call and apply the code if I book through AAA? Or should I book directly with W Disney?

Thanks,
Matthew

there may not be any discounts. there haven't been any discounts for june/july yet, much less december.

Another AP question.

I want to stay at the Pop Resort for 7 nights (Dec 3-10). If there is a code, will it be applied to each night?

For example - A $25 off on value hotel.
Rack Rate is $79 a room.

If I called and added the AP code, would it be $54 a night?

So, the cost of the room would go from $553 for the week, to $378 for the week.

And then, could I pay for my parents room, and also use the AP discount for that room?

If so, that is an AMAZING savings.

Matthew

It is true that codes are not always released. However, in my experience I have learned that you've gotta keep faith! :thumbsup2 I'm going in June and waiting for AP codes to be released and believe they will be very soon. If they are released then it's a great savings, but you must be prepared to pay rack rates just in case. Matthew, as far as booking through AAA I'm not sure because I always book through CRO (disney). I do not have AAA so I've never tried to get the discount. But I can tell you that you are correct in how the codes work. Generally they will give you a specific amount off each night. And yes you can absolutely pay for your parents room also. You can book up to 3 rooms with an AP discount. Just make both reservations at the same time. They will give you two reservation #'s, one for each room. When you call back to apply a code later just make sure you have both ressi #'s. You can also ask the CM who is booking your ressi to put on there a request for joining rooms, non-smoking room, a certain building, etc. They are not obligated to fulfill your requests but most of the time do. If there's anything else I can help with just let me know. :)

Matthew - have you checked out mousesavers dot com? They do a really good job explaining the different discounts available for different things and seasons.

Mousesavers - Yep. I actually knew about that place a year ago and have frequented it. :-) Disboards is relatively new to me.

Thanks,
Matthew
