Just wondering what is the best mood of transportation from the airport to the resort? Is there a store near by for picking up groceries? Don't want to rent a car if I don't have to!

Yeah, we got a great deal on a car when we were there last September. No parking fee since we are DVC members. It was totally worth it for us. Hawaii has good public transportation but THE BUS does not go out to Ko'Olina.

It's about a 45 minute drive from the airport.

if you are a DVC member then you won't be charged the $35 per day fee for parking at Aulani - so would get a car

here is some more information

my nephew is going on his honeymoon in feb - so share any information you can get.

Good to know. We are staying in a 2 bedroom with 8 people and will rent two cars. Can we park both free of charge (DVC member staying on points).

The grocery stores are close by but you'll need a car. There is a Costco and a Target at the exit before Aulani. The Target was adding to their food/grocery dept when we were there in June. They also have alcohol. There is a Safeway at the next exit too.
We had a car and loved the freedom it gave us for touring and off site restaurants too!

Parking at the Resort
Convenient self-parking will be available at no daily charge for up to two cars for DVC Members and for those with a disabled parking permit. Valet parking will also be available for a charge
