hi we are going on a all girls trip 11/28-12/04 there will be 6 of us ages ranging from 44 to 68(we are all young at heart of course:)) we are staying at pop with free qsdp which brings me to my first question should we upgrade to ddp this is their(5)1st trip I am the only one who has been before and I really want them to enjoy it it is probably gonna be some of theirs only trip:sad1: and I want them to experience some of the character meals and also some of the nicer ts meals 2)if you were doing fantasmic dining package which one and why or not at all #3)which ts are an absolute not to miss in your opinion I know i should of formatted this but getting ready to go to work kinda wanted to throw out questions real quick sorry if this annoys anyone.Any other advice for our trip would be greatly appreciated thanks

First let me say congrats on your trip. I think upgrading to the DDP is a great idea, it's not really too expensive, I believe about $10 more pppd which is reasonable, so if all can afford the extra cost go for it. I can't answer any of your other questions though cause I've only been 1 other time and if there was a dining plan i didn't know about it.

I would look and see if I could get the reservations I would want BEFORE I paid to upgrade. If I could not get what I wanted then I would not put out the extra money. Especially considering you are well under 180 days from arrival, so people have been booking their reservations for awhile now.

First off have a great trip pixiedust:
To answer your questions
1. yes do upgrade. For the extra $ 10.00 or so it is a good deal :lmao:
For a character meal DH and I always do breakfast at the Crystal Palace pooh: before the MK opens. The food has always been very good and we like getting photos of MS and the Castle without tons of people in the background. We got a good photo of us with an empty MS with the :santa: decorations up
2.. Can't answer as we have never done it.
3. If you have a hard time getting dinner ADRs try lunch. We had 2 good TS lunches at Chef de France and the Rose & Crown in Epcot last year.

No matter what you decide do get a dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express in the DTD marketplace.IT is the best CS value in the WDW.:dance3:

agree with this :) and just wanted to say WOW you ladies are going to have a wonderful time and to pick POP you will all be skipping down memory lane..love that resort Have fun!

Awesome!! I am bringing my mother to Disney for her very FIRST time to celebrate her 70th birthday at exactly the same time as you!! I know how you feel! I am trying so hard to think of all the places my mother might like to go and am planning this trip like crazy.

I would TOTALLY upgrade the dining! I just booked last week our trip and made reservations this week at pretty much everything I wanted....including LE CELLIER!! My advice to you would be to nix the character meals for the most part....you ladies will be spending the days in the parks with the characters so do you really need to sit at dinner with them too? And those meals tend to be pretty full of kids, noise, action and often the food is nothing to write home about!

Clearly, this is just my advice but for our trip, I'm very cognisant of the fact that my mother will be overloaded with sites, smells, noises, etc the entire time we are at the parks (and also at a place like POP!) so I booked nicer, sit down restaurants instead.

We will do The Wave, Le Cellier, Maya Grill (on site of Coronado), all of which tend to be a bit more "adult" in theme, Raglan Road (my mom will LOVE the beer flights and Celtic music!), Boma (something more ethnic for her to try) and Coral Reef (she'll love the big aquarium). I'm also trying to get the Fantastic package for Mama Melrose but no luck yet. If I'm unable, I'll book 50's Primetime instead as I'm sure she'll get a kick out of a 50's kitchen dinner!

Anyway, these are just some ideas! I am sure you and your friends will have a great time no matter what you decide!! Hope to see you in the parks!

IMHO I would book CRT and let them know on your ADR that she is celebrating both! I think they will make her feel like a Queen !

I think I would upgrade and then do some investigating. What characters would they like to see? Are they princess women, Pooh, classic Mickey and friends?

I would also definitely do the Fantasmic Dining Pkg. It would be worth it just to not have to wait in line so long. I don't have any recommendations on which restaurant, although, the Brown Derby would be fun for a gang of girls. However, it does take two of your TS credits, so that might be better OOP if you decide to do that one.

You will probably want to book the Candlight Processional pkg too. That will take two TS no matter where you go, but again, it will save you some time in line and guarantee you a seat for the performance.

Thanks for the thought but I didn't want to use two credits...cheap I know!! LOL! But, I will score for her a b'day pin and a first time visit pin and hope that Disney magic will just flow her way anyway!

thanks hope you and your mother have a great trip and if you happen to run into 6 crazy ladies at pop it is sure to be us
