well...it's been awhile, but I get to once again plan a trip to USO/IOA . I'm so excited. Last time I got to go to USO Hollywood rip ride rocket was just about to open, so its absolute due time for me to go again, and of course I get to see the WWOHP. This was also just coming together the last time I was there and it looked wonderful. :dancer:

I keep seeing 2 different opinions about FOTL for hotel guests. Can you use it at WWOHP? On one post I read that yes you can, and on another post, I read that no you can't. And if you can't, why not? Universal allows it everywhere else. What is their logic for not allowing it at WWOHP?

I'm actually not too sure why Forbidden Journey doesn't offer Express yet. Rockit doesn't because they don't have enough trains on yet to get the capacity high enough to offer Express. If they'd open Express on Rockit, then the line would move slowly, just as slow as the regular line, and the Regular wouldn't move at all.

FJ however has great capacity, so I'm not sure why it doesn't offer Express. I know it will get it before Rockit, though.

Are you going during a peak time where you need to worry about crowds? We went yesterday (got into town Saturday) and the crowds were not bad at all (assume most people headed home after the holiday). The line for FJ was 30 minutes at 3 pm. Well worth it :woohoo: but I hope today the line is even shorter. Universal Studios wasn't busy at all, the longest wait was 20 minutes for RRR. Personally I will never ride that one again, it jerks your head around mercilessly :guilty:, I got off with a headache, as did the women sitting behind me.

You can't use express on Rockit, Pteranadon Flyers and Forbidden Journey.

It tends to be a capacity issue why they don't allow express. I think right now it is just because of such large lines for FJ. Hopefully the express line will open in the near future (but not til next year I am sure). It does exist but is being used as a non-rider's line for just viewing the castle right now.

Here's the straight dope. WWoHP is the entire LAND of Harry Potter within IoA, and it contains (among other things) three rides: Forbidden Journey, Dragon Challenge, and Flight of the Hippogriff. Universal Express (or FOTL) can be used on DC and FotH, but not FJ. I believe the confusion comes from some who may think that WWoHP = FJ. FJ is only one ride within WWoHP.

We have reservations at HRH on 12/29. Does this mean we cannot use the early entry if we don't have the extra package???

Anyone who stays onsite gets early entrance. If you are staying offsite but have booked the Harry Potter package, you also get early entrance.

Maybe the castle tour line will be so popular that they choose not to offer Express!
