I have a few questions. My DH decided today to use DS' spring break as an excuse to go to DLR. It will be their first time. I haven't been in two decades. I have looked through the stickies and still have a couple of questions. Please pardon me.
1. Is WOC an ongoing thing? Initially, I thought it was just for this summer, but I am not sure after reading a stick done in 2006. We will be there the second week of March 2011. DS wants to see WOC badly.
2. Is it a correct assumption that any reservations for dining are not done at the 180 day mark like WDW? At what point, if we wanted, can we make reservations?
3. Is there a grocery store near the GCH (within walking distance)? Obviously we will be flying to CA.

TIA. I am sure I will have additional questions. Like I said, this came out of nowhere from DH today. Now, I am in charge of the logistics. Fortunately, we have several days to do things, are in no grand hurry to do them, and are simply planning to enjoy ourselves when get to DLR.:goodvibes

Well i'm not the best person to answer this but I'll try :lmao:
I'm not sure on if WOC is an ongoing thing, to be honest i wanna know that myself lol. You can begin making ADR's at 60 days out. I know that from what i've read its recommended for places like Goofy's Kitchen and BB. In regards to a grocery store, Vons will deliver to the hotels and if its your first delivery then its free delivery normally. Also I'm sure that GCH has a sundries area if you just need something small but i bet its overpriced. :rotfl2:

Fwiw heres the link to Vons so you can get an idea of what they have and some prices. http://www.vons.com/IFL/Grocery/Home

WoC is considered an ongoing thing, they sure spent enough time and money on it ;) What remains to be seen is the schedule, if it will be like Fantasmic! or what. In the Halloween and October threads, we're all dying to know what the entertainment schedule for October is (which includes WoC).

Dining is 60 days out and is done live on the phone (no internet reservations). WoC dining (sit down and picnic) is currently 30 days out.

To answer your third question about groceries. You can walk to grocery stores but it is not so easy you would want to carry a cartload of groceries back. But there is a couple grocery stores that deliver.
